Thank you, Hazel. In the last comment at your link the poster said that this happens a lot in Canada.."...it may be the wrong time of year for it but still, ask a Canadian what a "starlight walk" is."

I wanted the picture here to show my thinking about how much the victims resemble each other; Owen Rooney, LC, B. Stone, etc.. They are young (I consider 41 young), slender built, about same height/weight, probably intellectual types, etc. Obviously not typical of those misshapen body-building worshipers in ads.

So, what character types of L/E would get their kicks by brutalizing those smaller than themselves? I'd say (1) bullies; cowards; (2) probably not up to the level of average intelligence; (3) probably bearing an inner grudge against brainy people, "geeks" - smarter in school who answered questions the bullies could not (?); (4) criminals with a license to abuse the law.

I was struck by the resemblance between LC and Owen -- they could almost pass for brothers. IMO.

OMG DD2! So glad that someone else sees a resemblance; I was starting to think perhaps I'm too obsessed with Lachlan that I was imagining that.

This young woman's death is not related to the case at hand, but it is a lesson in coroner's pronouncements:

Thank you, summer. Your links brought back to the forefront some of my earlier searches. I'm sure you are all aware of the deep regard that Lachlan had for Prof. Dave Walker of Columbia. I found a video of a lecture by Dr. D. Walker:

The topic is a link there, which when clicked takes you to the video. After watching it, I wished that I could talk to this man about Lachlan.

After browsing a bit at summer's link, I think I may be getting a hint of why Lachlan's e-mail address from late March, 2003 until June 5, 2003 was the Lamont-Doherty Lab, Map Room 33. Those maps must have shown the inner makeup of the earth as well as the outer surface.

Do I pretend to grasp the complex subject that these 2 fine men speak and write of? No way! But I can admire them.

Too late to edit my #119. I can't get the video to play; "cannot connect, you may be having network problems". This is an archived video. I had no problems but that was months ago. I updated my realplayer, cleared the cache, logged off, did everything I know to do...no luck. In my disagreements with the computer, it always wins.
