Re my difficulty in getting the video to play as told in my #120: I finally got it!!

(1) I typed into google search: Is The Earth's Core Leaking
(2) At first item on menu, I clicked Cache

That got the video that plays! Here is the link shown above the video that plays:

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:SJO4kig8mXsJ:www.ldeo.columbia.edu/video/is-earths-core-leaking+Is+the+Earths+Core+Leaking&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a

I learned that my problem is that my system is not configured to play the file extension, .smil.

This is OT, but since it has been discussed here as well, will post this one article which answers a lot of the questions he had. There are a lot more articles being posted on RW's thread.

Reading all of the articles about RW today, I find myself wondering if LE did check all the coincidences with him and DR, and our Lachlan.

Hey, those nanopants have been available for years at Mark's Work Wearhouse. I'm wearing a pair while I stain my fence with nanostain. Just for fun, it's good practice to ask the sales clerk what it means. They don't have a clue. Lachlan, you're responsible for me messing with people's minds about the nanosh**e.

Question: Why doesn't nanostain wash out of nanopants? Is it because two wrongs don't make a right?

Well you will have to hold your noses for this academic fraud. An update to a story I previously posted.

http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/World/2010/10/11/15652756.html

The former St. John's University dean in New York who was allegedly fired for embezzling more than $1 million and reportedly forced her students to do housework in exchange for scholarships is now being accused of offering one of her students as a date for an older man.

The New York Post reports that fifty-seven-year-old Cecilia Chang allegedly made a female student attend an evening function with Chang's longtime business associate, 61-year-old Danny Lau. If the student refused to go along with the date, Chang would pull the funds from her scholarship. The paper also reports that there are no allegations that anything sexual happened between the student and Lau, a wealthy investment and mortgage company owner.

Court prosecutors say that Lau recently paid off a $300,000 mortgage on Chang's seven-bedroom, $2.9 million mansion which is currently up for sale.

It has been reported that Chang forced students to shovel snow, clean, cook and babysit for her or else they would lose their scholarships. She was arrested on Sept. 15 and is charged with taking more than $1 million from the university. She allegedly spent the money on designer clothes, casino trips and her son's law-school tuition at the university she worked at.

This line caught my eye from a story about another case:

"She left behind her purse, cellphone and her car, so police knew to be worried.

That car is still parked in her driveway."

From: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news...-he-took-videos-of-the-crimes/article1748914/

So why is it that LE knows to be worried about one person leaving behind her wallet and ID, cellphone and car, but in the case of another, very safety-minded person for whom it would be extremely unusual to leave behind such personal belongings, it is not regarded in similar fashion?

And why, in such a case, would everyone around the person, including LE, go to great lengths to defy logic and reality by finding bizarre excuses and tenuous justifications for such unlikely and irrational behavior by a very rational person, who in fact happens to be in a career that demands rationality, as a highly-regarded scientist?

Beats me!

Too bad Lachlan wasn't around to see the completion of the construction that was going on at Chalk River Laboratories. This project had been ongoing sinces 2005. The brand new building is also housing security for the site:

I think it would have been right decent of them to have named it the Brockhouse-Cranswick Building. .....but then again, maybe not appropriate under the circumstances.

It's awfully strange that the news articles do not mention the name of the architect who designed this state-of-the-art "green" building. Usually this is something architects want to display on their websites and in portfolios shown to prospective new clients.

Someone should tell NRT that a picture is worth a thousand words. No picture for the alleged event of Friday, June 11, 2010 either.

:sheesh:

sillybilly said:
but I have ordered a few hundred seeds for a flower called "Lychnis Orange Gnome". (billy has a purple thumb ... so hundreds will ensure success ). These will be planted in my garden in Lachlan's honour, and because they are perennials, they will come back year after year. In my garden, I shall take the liberty of renaming this beautiful flower "Lachlan's Garden Gnome":
RSBM

Sillybilly, with all the excitement of today, I hope you wont forget to water your flowers. You got the seeds you ordered right? Let us know how they are growing, or if you still haven't planted them?

None of you were around, and I just couldn't wait, so I did send them an e-mail, hoping the OPP will in turn inform the QC LE, but just in case, would you care giving them a phone call SB?
Je ne parle pas français, and I believe you do :)

Oh look ... I just happen to have their contact info handy ;)
