"Paramedics say two people were transported to a trauma centre in serious condition after being stabbed around 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning on Sherbourne Street near Gerrard Street."

"A man who lives in the building that the woman was found at told 680 NEWS that he opened the window to see her and “she was right in front of the door crying, shaking.”

Police are searching for a male, black, six-foot-tall, with a facial scar and a beard, and was seen wearing a grey track suit.

The man was said to be last seen driving northbound on Sherbourne in a dirty black truck with a silver equipment box in the back.

Police are asking that people do not approach the man if they see him but to contact police immediately."
