The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad is requesting the public's assistance identifying a man and woman in connection with a recent retail robbery investigation.
On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, officers responded to a robbery call in the St. Clair Avenue West and Runnymede Road area.
It is alleged that:
  • a man and woman entered the store and began concealing items
  • they both attempted to leave, making no attempt to pay
  • the woman was confronted but managed to get away and flee the store
  • when employees approached the man prior to him leaving, he swung an axe striking one victim causing minor injuries and forcing them to back away
  • both suspects fled the area on foot
The man and woman remain unidentified.
He is described as white, approximately 20 to 30 years old, 5’7” with a slim build.
She is described as black, approximately 20 to 30 years old, 5’5” with a slim build and hair partially dyed blue.
If located, do not approach, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Toronto Police said officers were called to a robbery in the St. Clair Avenue West and Runnymede Road area on Oct. 25.

It’s been reported that a man and a woman entered the store and attempted to steal items. The woman was confronted but managed to escape; when employees approached the man, he swung an axe, hitting a person before leaving. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Jordania Henderson-Lugg, 18, of Toronto, was charged with robbery with an offensive weapon. She was scheduled to appear in court at College Park Courts on Monday morning.

The man remains at large. He is described as being white, five-foot-seven, about 20 to 30 years old, with a slim build, according to police.
