LIAM GABRIEL TOMAN

February 3, 2025
The Sûreté du Québec is asking for the public's help in locating Liam-Gabriel Toman, 22, from Ontario.

He was last seen on the night of Saturday to Sunday around 3:00 a.m. at the exit of a licensed establishment in Mont-Tremblant.

His relatives have reason to fear for his health and safety.

Description

Height: 1.75 m (5 ft 9 in)

Weight: 59 kg (130 lbs)

Hair: Brown

Eyes: Pers

The last time he saw him, he was wearing a black and green coat, black Snow pants, a green sweater and a toque.''

*****
We saw video footage inside the bar and then we saw him leave the bar, and then we see him talking to people, and some exchanges and that,” said Liam’s father, Chris Toman.

“He did text me accidentally, and I think he was trying to text his one friend that had left. And from the text, we ascertained it was, ‘Meet me outside.'”

That text was sent at 3:16 a.m. on Feb. 2. The family said he has not used his phone or accessed his bank account or any of his social media accounts since that time.

The family set up a website and is urging anyone who may have any information to contact them or the police.

''Investigation and Search Update (as of March 29)

This past weekend on the morning of March 22, Liam’s wallet was discovered near a parking lot in the area not far from his last sighting. The wallet was turned into the Sûreté du Québec and a second ground and air search in a more focused area were immediately initiated in the afternoon of Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23. This search included the helicopter, master canine, horse unit, ATVs, and specialized walking search teams from outside Mont Tremblant. But no sign of Liam was found. We are at day 56 and Liam is still missing. As a family we all just want Liam home.

We want to thank the Sûreté du Québec for their continued support and commitment to find Liam and to the whole Mont Tremblant community and everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

Although there are no further updates to provide, the case remains open and police continue to follow leads and review additional video footage.

Please keep your eyes open or if you have any information on Liam’s disappearance reach out to the police:

''His mother, Kathleen Toman of Balsam Lake, Ont., said he'd been texting his parents throughout the evening and is normally in frequent communication with family and friends.

"He keeps in contact with us and tells us about his fun and what he's doing," she said in a phone interview.

"This is not Liam's nature to not text us."

His family has been looking for Toman ever since he disappeared, while Quebec provincial police have carried out searches by land, helicopter, and in nearby bodies of water.''

''The family website says Toman graduated from Niagara College last spring with an electronics technician diploma. He is described as a social person who loves to ski, golf, play video games, learn about his car, and spend time with his friends.''

..."A final call and text message were sent on February 2 from his phone at around 3:15 a.m., and neither his bank account, social media or his phone has been used since his disappearance."

_____________

Did he leave a message on vm? What did the text say?

(I see comment under earlier report notes how similar this seems to Ryan Shtuka missing from Sun Peaks)

Just eta: Ryan also disappeared in February (2018).

On the website created and updated by the family liamtom.com a missing notice available in pdf include more precise information on the time of disappearance that I have not seen elsewhere.

"Additional security cameras show Liam walking back to his hotel La Tour des Voyageurs II, sending his last text-call at 3:16 and speaking with individuals near this location around 3:20 a.m. He never entered the hotel. Instead, he walked to the side of the hotel towards Chemin au Pied-de-la-Montagne and has not been seen since."
