On Tuesday March 24, 2009, shortly before 7:00 am, Lisa Marie Leckie (Johnson), 25 years, was found deceased in her apartment located at 314-390 Southdale Road East in the City of London. As a result of information gathered from the post-mortem examination and the police investigation, Lisa Leckie’s death has been determined to be the result of a homicide. ​

Killer left typewritten note: London police release new details about decade-old murder case

The guy in the surveillance video is the same height weight and girth as Phil Leckie. He also dresses like Phil Leckie. Within 6 months of Lisa's death he had Lisa's son calling his new girlfriend Mom. It is rumoured that Phil's new girlfriend Debra was crazy jealous of Lisa and was often super rude to her. It's suspected that Phil benefited financially from her death.

There's no signs of forced entry. No evidence of sexual assault. Nothing was taken from the house which unless a rouse was used to get her to open the door, probably rules out a stranger attack. The victim was asphyxiated. The current boyfriend found her body in the living room when he returned from a night shift. They 8month old baby was unharmed. Her older child was to be in his father's care at that time.

A type-written letter was left at the scene with a reference to keeping blood clean. There's no further context given.
