I wonder if it's feasible that the cab played into this, as an alibi...like, I couldn't have harmed Loretta, I took a taxi back from the rental!

Is it feasible that l Loretta was scammed by one of the two accused? Perhaps they said, drive me to the ATM machine so I can pay you...

Then the other half took a taxi to the area of the ATM and overpowered her?

So many questions.

OT...I've never been to Canada, but the way that crime seems almost an anomaly, is so appealing to me as a Chicagoan...OT

I just re-reviewed the information and there was no mention of Victoria being in the car at the time the weed was being bought. Victoria's name was not mentioned.

This whole taxi thing makes me wonder... I'm thinking that Loretta showed up at the apartment that she subletted to that horrible couple who stole her car... They didn't answer but texted that they would meet somewhere.. The perps left in a cab...met Loretta at an unspecified place...stole her car, disposed of her, and used her debit card ...
The apartment in Cowie Hill is in a lower rent area where there are also substandard tow houses rented by those on government assistance.. Cowie hill is next to spry field which is notorious for being high crime with gang affiliated crime...
The fact that this Victoria lists gottigen street as another interest also points to low rent high crime..
Loretta, having come from Newfoundland to ns would not have known the nuances of these communities..
I believe the people who stole the car are career criminals and took advantage of a generous, sweet young girl..disposing of her when she began to question them..
My heart is with Loretta's family, and friends....and all of us who care...

Im not originally from halifax, but it didn't take me long to figure out the rough neighborhoods. Its a small city.. and living on cowie hill the rent is much cheaper.. and even bwing around the area anyone would notice its not as nice as other areas..... she was a 3rd year amu student so I think she was aware. I hope they find her soon.... and tips keep coming in...

The bottom of Dutch village road is nefarious for methadone clinics and drug selling..
If there is little time between the cameras showing Loretta leaving her apartment and the perp buyin weed on the Bedford highway ( which is off of Dutch village) then it could be interpreted that a crime occurred between these points...
( as an aside the Hells Angels used to have a club house off Dutch village road in fairview )

I'd be skeptical of a rumor about Blake buying pot in Loretta's car if Victoria wasn't mentioned. Victoria and Blake lived together and they were together when the car was found, so I doubt that they were apart after committing a crime involving Loretta's car.

But where from Cowie Hill to the Bedford Highway would be the crime scene - basically Joe Howe Drive to Bedford Highway unless the male suspect booted through the Bicentennial Highway to say the Larry Utech turnoff and then down onto the Bedford Highway? Am really at a loss to as to where the crime scene may be - maybe the Ashburn Golf Course area? Where else can you think of?

That is why I am wondering about the time she was seen leaving the apartment and the CCTV of the. Taxi (and who was in it)
If only the male suspect was seen buying weed on the Bedford highway than where we're Victoria and the victim?
There are lots of places near Cowie hill.long lake, crystal crescent, fort York.. Anywhere really..
I guess the problem is is that we don't have an accurate time line...
Halifax. Is surrounded by water ( the ocean) plus so many lakes...
The fact that this could have happened on vAlentines day may also spell some sick kind of "gift" from one depraved sicko to another...JMO

Really. Loretta left the apartment (video footage), and we don't know what she did next. There's no footage of her re-entering the apartment and Victoria/Blake didn't have another residence.

Victoria lists her linkin location as Calgary and there's an arrest warrant for Blake in Calgary. Victoria claims that she's attending online courses through Athabasca University, which has offices in Edmonton and Calgary. If I had to guess, I'd say that Victoria was in Calgary in 2013, that she met Blake in Calgary. It looks like they went to Halifax together, where Victoria has history. She posted online "job wanted" kijiji ads looking for work (date unknown).

They sublet Loretta's apartment together and did not pay rent. When Loretta pushed them for the rent, she vanished. The next thing we know is that Loretta's car is with Victoria and Blake in Ontario.

I highly doubt that two people would make someone disappear and steal a car, and then trust each other enough to part ways immediately after committing the crime - even if only to make a drug deal.

Saint Mary's also Avery respected university...especially it's commerce program...
iMO.. This case has no bearing whatsoever on universities, Loretta's studies or anything close to it..
iMO.. Two dangerous people met.. Took advantage of,people and " gloried" in their crimes together...ever escalating and never caring...

More and more we hear about couples that murder. The motive never makes sense. It seems that the couple clicks in the wrong way. Look at Michael Thomas Rafferty and Terri-Lynne McClintic, or Elytte and Miranda Barbour (newly weds that lured victim through Craigslist).

That's exactly what I'm seeing here as well. Loretta submitted an undergraduate honour's thesis proposal for researching three women that are missing, or deceased, in Nova Scotia. Her interests are not taboo, and not connected with 500+ unnamed women in Canada that may or may not be missing.

She sublet her apartment to a couple of dangerous looking characters that had no intention of paying rent. Her last known activity was attempting to collect rent on Feb 13. Her boyfriend, with whom she lived, received a strange text from her and did nothing. He didn't report her missing. Loretta's father reported her missing on Feb 17.

The victim is recovering from a meth addiction and had a pending medical appointment to determine whether she was pregnant. The last sighting of her seems to be leaving the sublet on Feb 13.

I am also wondering who was the last person to see her. I thought she went over to the apartment in the morning and the article above says she was last seen Thurs evening

Here is what I think..
Loretta is an innocent victim of two nefarious criminals who were continually,escalating in their criminal activities...
Loretta had a full time boyfriend... They both had apartments and were locked into year long leases..they realized that they only required one apartment as they were spending all their time together..
Being locked into a year long lease, they were required Nd under contract to pay rent until the end of their lease...
Loretta sought to sublet her apartment by placing an add on kijiji ( very similar Canadian website to Craigslist )
She found a suitable coup,e, moved in with her bf. and expected the new tenants to pay her for the rent on her old apartment...
Obviously, they never had any intention of following through...
When push came to shove and Loretta put her foot down...they did away with her...
Based on their previous social media...they seem greedy, cold blooded and vengeful...
The poor girl met the wrong people at the wrong time...
I hope they Are brought to justice...
