Circumstances of Disappearance:
Lorie was last seen on May 10th, 1969 about a hundred yards from her residence. She was playing near a beach with a few of her siblings on the Cheekeye River, upstream of its confluence with the Cheakamus River, feeding into the Squamish River. At the time, the water run-off was swift and it is presumed Lorie drowned.

Despite a two day search consisting of a hundred people and a tracking dog, she has never been located.

Lorie Lewis age 7, missing since 10 May 1969

Lorie was 7 years old when she disappeared from Squamish, British Columbia on May 10th, 1969. She was last seen swimming that day with a few of her siblings on the Cheekeye River. Water run off was swift and Lorie is believed to have drowned. Her remains have never been found.
