Circumstances of Disappearance:
Lorie was last seen on May 10th, 1969 about a hundred yards from her residence. She was playing near a beach with a few of her siblings on the Cheekeye River, upstream of its confluence with the Cheakamus River, feeding into the Squamish River. At the time, the water run-off was swift and it is presumed Lorie drowned.
Despite a two day search consisting of a hundred people and a tracking dog, she has never been located.
