As per the article you linked -- "Chen left her home in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough Feb. 19 without her cell phone or keys. She lives with her boyfriend."

That those two sentences are consecutive tells us about what the likely theory of her disappearance is.

The body of Hui Chen, 41, was found by the shores of the St. Lawrence River near Contrecoeur, 70 km northeast of Montreal. Passersby made the discovery May 1...
