Ciesek disappeared from Toronto, Ontario in April of 2000. She was last seen in the area of Roncesvalles Avenue and Dundas Street West in Toronto when she met her father for lunch. She told him that she was intending to meet with her estranged husband at 6:00 pm that evening. Ciesek has never been seen or heard from since and her whereabouts remain unknown.
