Right in my part of town. Again.

TTC riders have adjusted their behaviour a bit from the winter panics but still shocking to see this level of violence from what seems to have begun as an argument between apparent strangers.

I feel like de-escalation training should be part of ordering a coffee or waiting for a bus given the rise in post-pandemic everyday interactions that seem to lead almost immediately into stabbings, shootings, etc.

''Toronto police have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed a TTC rider inside a moving subway car travelling southbound towards Eglinton station.

Officers said the suspect was arrested by a member of the 53 Division on Friday, a day after a noon-hour stabbing that left one man in critical condition and halted subway service on a stretch of the University-Yonge line for several hours.''

''The 25-year-old man, of no fixed address, is now facing five counts, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a release order. He was scheduled for a bail hearing on Saturday.''
