Margaret Guylee grew up in poverty in Toronto. Margaret was of an unknown age when she was last known to be alive in Toronto, Ontario in 1965.

She was forced off her home on Whitedog Reserve in northern Ontario in the 1930's when the community found out she was in a relationship with a non-indigenous man. According to an Amnesty International report, she raised six children by herself while on social assistance. Margaret's daughter, Carrie Neilson, was four when her mother disappeared and says she and her siblings dealt daily with the idea that their mother had abandoned them. Carrie says she still carries the pain and bewilderment caused by her mother’s sudden and still unexplained disappearance. “We believed for years that we were not any good - after all, why would a mother abandon her children if they were good?”

No missing persons report was ever formally made and Margaret remains missing.

More information would be helpful. If her children have not already done so, they should officially report her missing and submit DNA samples for future possible matching.
