''Montreal police are investigating six suspected cases of poisoning at the ÎleSoniq music festival Aug. 9 and 10.

In a statement Friday, police said the incidents were reported at Jean-Drapeau Park. The victims, including both men and women, reported feeling a sharp sting in the back while in the crowd, followed by dizziness.''

''Tips can be shared by calling 911, visiting a local police station, or contacting Info-Crime Montréal (infocrimemontreal.ca or 514-393-1133) anonymously. Rewards of up to $3,000 are available for information leading to an arrest''.

'Authorities are also reminding anyone who believes they were unknowingly drugged to seek hospital care immediately so urine samples can be taken within 48 hours. This is part of a provincial initiative to better prosecute such offences.'

Recent needle jabbing in two other separate festivals in Quebec.
Sep 01, 2025 rbbm.
'The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) said on Monday that its Beauce-Centre investigation unit detained a man in his 20s on Sunday in connection with offences believed to have taken place Friday and Saturday.'

''Two festivals, about 75 kilometres south of Quebec City, were underway that weekend: the Festival des Travailleurs Structures de St-Joseph and the Accélérations de camions de St-Joseph-de-Beauce. Together, the events typically draw thousands of visitors to the town.''

'The SQ urged anyone who believes they may have been given a harmful substance to seek hospital treatment immediately and undergo testing.'
