An Amherstburg, Ont. neighbourhood is up in arms after a homeowner decided to mow a swastika into their lawn.

I am all for free speech, but this... this... Just pure hate, ignorance, and creating anger and/or pain for many people.

I don't see how this can/will be handled to suit everyone -- such is so much of what democracy has to deal with -- What can you say?

What can LE do? Was is done for attention? To pizz-off the neighborhood? A cry for attention? Just plain hate? A dare? True feeling? Did anyone see who did this? Did someone -- not from the household -- come in the middle of the night and do it, or do it when the occupants were not there, and nobody heard or saw the mowing (unlikely, IMO)? Does the doer really know what that symbol says and means?

This was done in a prior case here in the US, and many of us followed here on WS, but I think it was done in a vacant lot, but we soon found out who had done it. See VA - Scott Fricker, 48, & Buckley Kuhn-Fricker, 43, slain, Reston, 22 Dec 2017

Oh, @LadyL, I am so sorry this happened to you and to the neighbors in your city. As for the one who did it, I just cannot say here. Just sick and sad this was.
Please take slow clearing breaths, and .... (I don't know what else to recommend).
Let us know how it goes.

thanks but this isn't my city and I didn't do anything except post the news story lol

however I would've done something if it was my neighbourhood
Oh, my, @LadyL -- so sorry I misunderstood!......

I read too much into it -- at least the damm thing is gone. And the date it was out there, IMO, was no coincidence... Again, at least it's gone.
