Family had been expecting her for the Christmas holidays and she did not attend. When they began inquiring of her whereabouts, they discovered that she had been missing for some time. She is described as 5'6, 125 lbs., reddish/blonde hair, brown eyes. She was 23 years of age and it is unknown what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance. All her identification and personal belongings were left behind. Police investigation to date cannot rule out the possibility that Pamela has been a victim of foul play due to the duration of time since she went missing.''

Rest in peace, Pamela. Thank goodness for advancements in DNA and technology that have helped make resolutions like this possible. As hard as this news is, it's even harder to go so many years never knowing what happened to your loved one. This gives us so much hope for other missing people to be found. My love goes out to her family during this hard time.

And to all the people out there who have committed crimes like this in the past, I hope you are forever looking over your shoulder, wondering if you might be next. Or better yet, spare yourself the torture and come forward. It's time.

n 2025, a forensic dentist was able to connect Harvey's case with the unidentified homicide victim, and follow-up tests by the Quebec coroner's office confirmed the match.

Police say detectives determined the person believed to be responsible for her killing died in 1979.

A spokesperson with the Quebec provincial police would not provide further comment about the presumed killer or details about the homicide investigation.

The Montreal Gazette reported on March 21, 1979, that an unidentified young woman found by two hunters in a wooded area of St. Eustache had been shot twice in the head
