I don't know if this is the same Patricia Diane French or not - but timing seems to correlate, full name, and location are the same. If so, she was married.

It would be nice to see what is contained in the petition that this legal notice references.

It would seem that a letter was mailed to her last known address, and this newspaper notice states that if no response is forthcoming the divorce proceedings could go forward.

I have been researching the Missing and Murdered Women of Canada for over 20 years now and have a database of 500+ files.

These are my notes for Patricia Diane French:

Last seen in Vancouver, BC, January 1969. Eighteen years old, 5'7", 130 lbs, Caucasian, blonde, slim. Supposed to meet her parents in Calgary and not seen or heard from since.

This is a picture of Patricia with another woman named Lillian Jean O'Dare (found murdered).

These are my notes for Lillian Jean O'Dare:

Lillian was born Jan 8, 1944. She was last seen September 1978 in Downtown Eastside Vancouver. (DTES). Her skull and rest of her remains were found in April 1989 in a crawl space of a house in the 900 block of Salsbury Drive in Vancouver and she was identified through DNA in 2007. Lillian was 34, 5'6, Caucasian, short reddish blonde hair. She was reported missing same day she disappeared. A woman named Diana was an associate or possibly roommate and the house was at one time lived in by Biker gang.

Believe it or not, folks think nothing of travelling between Vancouver / Lower Mainland BC and Calgary and other spots in Alberta. It's a beautiful trip through the mountains. I know people who will do it in 10 or 12 hours or make it a leisurely trip over a couple of days.
