KAMLOOPS — (UPDATE 1 p.m.): Search and Rescue volunteers are scouring an area near Chuwhels Mountain, southwest of Kamloops city limits, as they look for a missing 45-year-old man, Paul Guthrie.

(UPDATE: Dec. 30 @ 4:05 pm) – The search for a man who was reported missing on Christmas Eve has come to a tragic end.

Last week, the Kamloops RCMP sought the public’s help locating Paul Guthrie, 45.

Sadly, the RCMP have confirmed that he was found dead on Sunday.

A news release from the RCMP says there is no criminality suspected in his death and the BC Coroners Service is now looking into the man’s death.
