Very interesting, if you get a chance could you also post that on Cameron's thread? TIA.

I'm not sure he is a serial killer. I think people are freaked out by his hanging chain apparatus and meat/roast photos and videos. There have been a few people missing and or found dead in Oshawa so people are edgy for a reason. This guy was following a pedo-hunter and this may be a defense mechanism or an attempt to seem moral to himself or his friends.

I have to wonder why he was attempting to get rid of evidence via the drain, IF true. Why did he keep parts of her? Why not get rid of all of her? Why wait 4 months to do this? Was he planning to return to the lake with the rest of her body but then her torso was found?
I don't think it's so much people are freaked out by his photos and postings on FB (which imo it's valid to be) or that the deaths in the area have the community on edge, I think it's exactly because of the questions you have posed at the end here. Why keep parts of her, and for 4 months? That is compelling serial killer behaviour, or at least psychopathy. Then there's the gurney, which is obviously a matter of opinion, but could imply another body found within the apartment. That, and the fact that they have extended the warrant to search the premise for 30 days, indicates to me that they have reason to tear apart every square inch of that apartment. Remove drywall, look inside walls, plumbing, etc. I think investigators may have opened up the gates of hell when entering this apartment, jmo.

Additionally, I will say I am certain that AS is a serial predator. If you take a look at his FB, and read through comments (I know, a lot of it is a dumpster fire at this point), if you're lucky and the comments are still up, you may be able to hone in on folks that knew him. The private discussion group is useful to join also, but again, a lot sift through. He's committed heinous acts before (allegedly), but I think that's all I'm allowed to say on WS. Sleuth away.

What makes people so sure it was Justin Payne the creep hunter, instead of another guy named Justin Payne? I'm asking because I saw that AS had a friend on his fb list named "Justin Payne" but I didn't think it was the same guy who is the known creep hunter... I won't say what made me think not as its not confirmed in media reports and I won't spread any rumours, but are y'all sure its the creep hunter? Pls advise.
I was on Justin Payne's FB, the actual creep hunter, all his videos up and everything, and read AS's comment myself.

Well, I have been down at that same beach with my metal detector along the beach and there have *always* been bystanders who stop me to chat about what I'm doing, or ask me what I've found or what I'm hoping to find. Even the life guard took notice of me as I passed her station a few times. This was probably around end of August. If he was along the beach with the metal detector, I'm guessing there are people who would possibly remember having seen him. I hope they call police to advise if they do happen to recognize and remember the occurrence. Be interesting to track his movements from just before she disappeared to when her remains were discovered all the way up to his arrest.
I think it was a magnetic fishing device? Not a metal detector. He may have just looked like any other fisherman.

It may be tricky, but I hope LE can tie together his movements from the time she disappeared to when he was arrested. I have certainly seen it done before in other cases. Cell phone pings off towers certainly say a lot. Text messages also.

ETA: I realize now that the magnetic fishing device vs. metal detector issue was cleared up, my apologies.

Hoping his vanity is also his downfall.

The bobby pin - the colour makes me think it had been in water for at least awhile. It had a green tone to it that wouldn't have probably if someone had worn it within the last few days. Maybe it was from his sink or toilet? Who knows...

Bobby pins can get like that sitting around from hair product. Remember, he could have had that pin for a while sitting in his dirty apartment, and then after her torso was found felt the need to put that online. A typical move for a killer who likes to hide in plain sight.

I certainly don't disagree with you, with that being his MO. To me however, the bobby-pin looks quite eroded from water.

So far, both are from Oshawa, both deaths are suspicious, both COD's have yet to be determined but suicide has been ruled out, Cameron Bailie's body was found in the lake, and Rori's torso was found in the lake.

Thanks for clarifying!

So other than the general area where both of the victims lived and their bodies found in the lake, also close to where they both lived, there are no other connections? These seem like 2 completely different cases so I don't think CB's family is going to get any answers in this case.

Correct, there are similarities, but may not be the same killer or circumstances.

It's awful to think that so much foul play committed by different people is happening in one community, but it could very well be the case, (and is the case throughout the GTA and not just Oshawa).

It looked to me like it may have had an android logo on the back... why do you ask?

Sometimes exif data shows up in photos. FB doesn't allow this but if we find other photos linked to him, it may help with location and dates.
