“I’m mad as hell,” Hache’s mother, Shanan Dionne, said at an outdoor memorial in Oshawa last month after her daughter’s death had been confirmed. On posters nearby, there were photos of Hache wearing a pink princess costume.
“Rori was the only thing I’ve done in my life that was really worth talking about,” Dionne said through tears. “My daughter didn’t deserve the death she got.”
After the results of the DNA tests on were announced, Det. Darren Short of Durham Regional Police told the National Post Hache had been intentionally dismembered, her body missing extremities and the head. Now, a second gruesome discovery in the case has further complicated the answer to the question of what happened to the teenager.
