Winnipeg police search for missing man last seen in Fort Garry
''Police are asking for the public’s help finding a Winnipeg man who has been missing for more than a week.

Sami Uzzaman, 24, was last seen in the Fort Garry area on Jan. 9. He was reported missing Wednesday, police say.

Uzzaman is 5’11” in height, 165 lbs., with a slim build. He has short black wavy hair, black eyes and police say he may have grown a full black beard.''

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing
24 year-old male, Sami UZZAMAN.
UZZAMAN last had contact on Saturday, January 9th, 2021 in the Fort Garry area of the city and was reported missing to Winnipeg Police on January 20.
UZZAMAN is described as 5’11, 165 lbs, slim build, short black wavy hair, black eyes & may have grown a full black beard. UZZAMAN may be wearing a longer length black parka with a fur hood.
Police are concerned for UZZAMAN’S well-being and are asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 986-6250.

A search in the Fort Garry area on January 27, by the Winnipeg Police Service’s Ground Search and Rescue team with help from Winnipeg Search and Rescue volunteers discovered Uzzaman’s body.

Police say that they do not believe foul play was involved in his death.
