I just read over the news articles listed. I read the comments section.
I reviewed her missing FB page.

I have more questions than before.
1. Some newspapers report she went missing at 10:30pm, others at 10:30am. ?? Which is correct?
2. Did she have a job? If so, what was it?
3. I doubt she left her child alone in their home when she left. Was he with a babysitter or his dad?
4. Did she have a cell phone? A bank account? A car?
5. Did she usually walk or take a bus to where she needed to go?
6. Did she have a current boyfriend?
7. What was her daily life like?
.....off to work, drop child at sitter, off work, stop for pizza for dinner, pick up child, ...
bedtime ritual... and start over again?
8. If she was not working, would she be tempted to go back to her old job?
I know family says no, but the money could be a tempting factor.
..........after saying that, why wouldn't she return for her child?.......

9. and Where was she going when she left the house? Errands, groceries, Dr. appt,
work, ?
10. Who told them she left at 10:30pm? Roommate? Neighbor?

This is just my opinion, but we need more concrete information
from the family.

Shana Carter was last seen on Saturday, Dec. 4 at about 10:30 p.m. when she left her boyfriends’s on Arrowhead Lane in Grimsby.

...and...

had a transient lifestyle, splitting her time between her boyfriend in Grimsby and her sister in Peel region.

Carter acknowledged Shana had a troubled youth.

The former Halifax native was in a group home briefly at age 14, eventually dropping out of high school and moving to the Hamilton area with a former boyfriend.

She started working in strip clubs, but Carter said three years ago Shana had a son and was turning her life around, "getting away from that lifestyle and getting settled, you know, just being a mom," said Carter.

I don't believe Shana is with us anymore. I really believe she was gone the night she went missing. I think her family needs to push for a search party in the woods around her home and near places with water. I know that women leave their children all the time but by all accounts from Shana's family & friends she was a devoted mother, She may have had an argument with her bf but usually when people argue with their bf they don't take off and cut off all contact with their family & friends and especially for this length of time. I have a hard time believing that she would have missed Christmas with her child. I'm getting a real sense of domestic violence in this case and I think that's why the police and press aren't being co-operative in publizing her case more than they have.
That's my opinion for what it is worth.

Constant nightmare for family of missing Grimsby woman

The mother of a missing Grimsby woman is holding out hope her daughter will be found alive.

Shana Carter was last seen leaving her Arrowhead Lane home at 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 4. The past five months have been a nightmare for Elizabeth Carter, who has not had any contact with her 25-year-old daughter since a week before her disappearance.

Sadly, I agree. No way would she have missed Christmas with her son IMO.

I'm just gonna put it out there that I have huge suspicions about the boyfriend.

I hope I'm wrong on both counts. Her son needs his mommy.

My daughter moved to Grimsby 3 weeks ago. I can't imagine what Shanas mom is going through. Her family needs to know good or bad. My daughter and I would like to take part in a search before the snow sets in.

Canadian4 and Hellinor, I think that it is just amazing that you guys offered to help find Shana! I hope that if by any chance anyone knows where Shana might be, they will let someone know, wouldn't it be wonderful if Shana was home for Christmas?!

I hate to say this, but, has anyone gone through the Doe Network or whatever, in case she has been found deceased in the U.S.? Niagra is so close to the U.S.
