The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance locating a missing woman.

Shannon Bursey, 35, was last seen on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 5:40 p.m., in the Military Trail and Neilson Road area.

She is described as, 5’6", 135lbs., with brown eyes, and long dark brown hair. She was last seen wearing a grey and black t-shirt, with black leggings. She was also riding a grey and black mountain bike.

Police are concerned for her safety.

omg just heard about this. Shannon is my nieces Husbands sister. So sad. I hope she is found quickly and is safe.

Comments on the Find Shannon page suggest she is safe and that parents have been told this by police, but not where she is. I find this a bit strange. I do hope it's accurate, for sure, though. JMO

Sorry...I have only met Shannon a few times at family functions. She did phone the police on Friday nite...I think it was. Not sure how the police know it was her. There was talk of maybe a burner phone. From that I would assume she left her phone at home. Hoping this is all true, and Shannon is safe.I have no further updates from her family, and I live about a five hour drive away.
