I bet he did not want to be seen (his truck seen) near the apartment block .... he preferred to "sneak over" because he knew he was doing something he shouldn't have.

Plus he could park near the Tim Hortons for an hour or two ... no problem ... whereas any public parking near the large apt blocks are usually vigilant to not allow tenants or visitors to park there .... otherwise the lot would be packed full .... just some thoughts

ps: I tried to zoom in on the RBC doors ... kinda hard because they are elevated on a ramp affair .... but it did look like double doors (somewhat) similar to the surveillance picture of Clyde ... and YES the blue looks like RBC colors.

Here's the best I could do to zoom in on the doors. I personally think it's the location where the surveillance still photo was taken. You can see the double doors with the blue handles and some window to the side that is probably the one in the picture except the picture is looking from the inside to the outside.

I wonder if they also stopped to buy that bag of dog food it was apparently found with or if they had it in one of their backpacks. It's about 4km from Woolner to Islington and Dundas so I assume they walked. Once they were rid of the dog, perhaps that's when they jumped on some public transit.

Okay, I am not following. If they tied the dog up at Islington and Dundas, why would they have first gone the other direction to the RBC bank to take out money?

Maybe they:

-Killed Parsi
-Took his bank card and tried to take money out and dumped his wallet
-WENT BACK to the apartment
-Packed and left with dog and some supplies
-Went in the direction of Islington and Dundas with the dog and abandoned him.

Leaving the dog so far away from the apartment made them think the dog could not be traced back to them. They wouldn't have taken the dog for walks that far away so likely no one would recognized it.JMO

It's about a 48 minute walk from the apartment to Dundas W and Islington and about 4 km away. Far enough to make them think no one would recognize their dog?

Yes, it wasn't until later that animal services realized whose dog they had and notified police.

Bummer if they walked right by the truck in the mall lot, keys in hand, and didn’t realize it was there.

The bank CCTV shot might also be the RBC @ Dundas & Islington. If they left Woolner at 4:10 am (and hoofed it) they could've been in that area by 5:00am, abandoned that darling dog, tried their luck at PIN numbers, and had their thumbs stuck out on the 427 (highway) ramp before 6.

You are probably right , or something close to that.
And police will know all that from the apt. video and bank machine ... but only went public with the 4:00 AM exit because that is how they were dressed while on the run.

I think it has to be the bank at Jane & Alliance. That photo was released last week before they even knew about the dog. There would have been no reason to check security footage from a bank at Dundas & Islington at that point.

Fairly easy to figure out for someone in the area. Go to the ATM and take a selfie pointing at the doors.

Its possible but they would have been standing there for quite some time as thats the morning rush hour. A commuter isn't likely to pick up a hitcher. Seems to me they were probably walking to the Islington Subway Station. From there they could catch the subway to Union Station, then a GO Train to Barrie where the could hitchhike unnoticed to the north.
