OK this murder took place in Deep River, Ontario, Canada. The name of the victim is Sommer Boudreau. The murder happened on the weekend of Dec. 11-12 2022.

...Sommer Boudreau, whose sister was killed by her partner in Ottawa nearly 13 years ago, has been identified as the victim of an alleged second-degree murder in Deep River, Ont.

On Jan. 16, 2010, Boudreau's 24-year-old sister Ashley Boudreau was stabbed to death by her boyfriend, Andrew Ferguson, at an apartment on Cambridge Street South in Ottawa.

Ferguson, 33, then took his own life.

"He was to have appeared in court in Pembroke on Thursday, but the appearance was cancelled and is now scheduled for Monday."

Does anyone know what happens if he just continues to refuse? How long can that be tolerated?
I cannot begin to imagine the pain her family is going through, having lost both sisters to violence. I read that Sommer had recovered from cancer as well. Heartbreaking.

Remembering Sommer Boudreau

The death of the 39-year-old Deep River woman came as a shock and left her three children -- Tyee, Tia and seven-year-old Ashley -- without a mother and with so many unanswered questions. They will have to wait until January 6 to find out what the next phase will be in the case against Adam Rossi, the 41-year-old man charged with second degree murder in relation to her case.

He appeared briefly in court on December 28. This was his second appearance in the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke following a previous adjournment of his December 16 hearing. He is currently in custody at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre pending the completion of his bail hearing.


He was formally charged with second degree murder and one count of indignity to a human body. A Section 517 publication ban is in place that disallows sharing of information during a bail hearing, along with reasons given by the judge, until the accused is discharged or, if ordered to stand trial, the trial has ended.

according to ontariocourts dot ca, he will be appearing tommorow jan12 @ 1:30pm for a bail phase type appearance. They use his intials only (R., A.) and not his full name, i wonder why?? why do they use only his initials and not full name on the docket list? Others are by full name but his are by initials only.

What a terrible family legacy, I wonder if both women ended up murdered by an intimate partner because they grew up in an abusive home? What a horrible tragedy

Ashley was murdered by her boyfriend whom she lived with, Sommers' relationship with Rossi is unknown, waiting to find out. There is no mention of an abusive home at all, so i don't believe so.

Ah, thank you for clearing that up I read that wrong I thought it said he was her boyfriend but people close to her didn’t even know who he was.
