He doesn't need to be jailed. He needs mental help. Let's stop this excercise of throwing away humans.
I disagree. The scum needs jail. :snooty:

The old-timers may go easy on me. They know I have no experience with wives. I'm just saying stuff I've heard...

Nova, you've never been married? And I mean no disrespect here but have you been gay all your life, adult life, whatever you wanna call it? If you don't feel comfortable answering you can PM me, I am really asking out of pure curiosity!
Before you answer just want you to know I have no prob. whatsoever with gays...I believe in gay marriage and all that...I think in this world it is really hard to find true, 100% love, so if you CAN find it, no matter what the sex, grab it while you can!!!!!!!!!

We're not. Some people can't distinguish between right and wrong. That's why children under a certain age aren't held responsible in a legal sense for some things they do because they haven't developed the cognitive skills to understand what they've done.

Some adults have the mental capacity of a child this age, and that's why in some cases it's an acceptable excuse for unacceptable behavior.

Did I miss somewhere in this article where it stated this man is mentally retarded or psychotic? If I missed that then I stand corrected, he did not know right from wrong, but.. what I read was that this man has a personality disorder. A person with a personality disorder knows right from wrong...This man is no child and should not be compared to one!

There are people in this world who are mentally ill and work their a$$es off every day to follow the rules to live in Society and do not want an excuse for any of their bad behavior... we want to be held accountable, just like everyone else! People like this man help keep the stigma attatched to mental illness and it makes me so very sad.

I think he needs both jail AND mental help...and am not SURE that either would really work....
Yeah...he sounds mean as h@ll!:slap:

If this guy isn't dealt with, he will probably be one of those who kills his whole family then himself. If the jerk really does have a dependent personality disorder that can't deal with rejection, couldn't he also act the same way if he is fired from a job or even turned down for a date by a woman? He seems very dangerous and violent.

You didn't miss anything in the article. I was just replying in a general sense to your question. I think this guy knows the difference between right and wrong.

But to be honest, not getting what he wants...not taking rejection very well...sounds like the mentality of a spoiled 8 year old to me.

Upon further reading, this man was involved in an SIU(Special Investigation Unit, in which an investigation is conducted for a person being injured when there is police involvement)

When the cops arrived to "investigate" a complaint, he grabbed a knife and "wrestled" with the Police with the knife. He was injured. The SIU concluded that the Police were not responsible for his injuries.

It is a shame that people with personality disorder don't wear a big red flag that says: I am damaged, stay away from me. It would make life a bit easier.

(Psssssst, White Rain. Nothing you asked me is out of line, but I'll be brief so as not to turn this into another "gay thread." I was never married to a woman. I've been with the same man for 30 years (since I was 23); under California law, we aren't quite married, but pretty close. I did date women in school and happily so, but it wasn't serious: I already knew I was gay.)

No- it's the mentality of a person with a personality disorder. Sadly, these kinds of things are par for the course for the personality disordered.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the mentally ill receiving proper treatment (If not for such treatment, I'd not be able to be here putting words together right now) but sometimes part of that treatment may need to include being held accountable for your actions.

Hooray for you for finding someone to love!

I am so lucky in that regard, I can barely begin to describe it!

I wouldn't care (we have been "married" for decades in my mind) if it weren't for the financial repercussions of not being married. There's a bill before the California legislature that would give us the rest of marriage rights. Unfortunately, so many rights are federal and there isn't much hope for a change in Washington at the moment.

Nonetheless, gay rights have come so much farther than I expected to see in my lifetime, I don't very often feel like complaining.

Thank you for the kind words.

Yesterday was the launch of "Pride Week" in Toronto, the parade is a real fantastic event to see.

My people are known for their parades!

(In California, "Pride Week" is passed around, each city doing a different weekend. That way, people who want to do so can participate in many parades. Here in the SoCal Desert, our pride week and parade aren't until November.)

This is such a popular event, people book their holidays around the week

It is expected that a million people who come from all over(especially the states) to attend the events.

I wish this happened in all cities..........

Best regards,

Cyber

It pretty much does happen in all cities of any size here in the States. The parades in NY, LA and SF go on for hours before millions of viewers. The parades in small cities aren't so long, but they are plenty exuberant. (The resort town where I live is about 50% gay, so the whole town shuts down for the parade and festival. It's nice they hold it in November when it's cooler here.)

(I don't know how the "no girlfriend" thread became the "gay pride" thread. I suppose we're just offering the jerk an alternative. See if he picks on someone his own size.)
