Maybe this guy is a possibility. He left with clues of self-harm. Was last tracked heading south but Surrey is not a stretch from eaither location:

Foul play not ruled out after body found in South Surrey ditch

As of Tuesday morning, the cause of death had not been determined, the deceased had not been identified and the case had not been linked to any ongoing investigations.

Surrey RCMP Cpl. Scotty Schumann told Peace Arch News that no evidence pointing to foul play had been found, however, “we can’t rule it out at this point.”

Investigators will know more once the cause of death is determined, he said.

“We’ll have to wait for the autopsy.”

The identity of a body found in a South Surrey ditch last month has been determined, and foul play has been ruled out.

BC Coroners Service spokesperson Barb McLintock said only that the deceased was a Lower Mainland man in his early 50s, and that cause and classification of his death remain under investigation.
