I wonder what those could b? A murder weapon, clothing, cigarette butts, drink container(s)?

Wondering if steroids, ( thinking roid'rage) played a role considering that SL worked at a fitness club?
It was a Tuesday morning, not a time or day that one would usually associate with a sex crime, to my mind anyway- could a weekend bender with Monday ' shakes", lead to a Tuesday crime?

"SQ has shed light on the unsolved murder that took place in 1989. On the morning of April 18, Sylvie Laverdière had to go work in a Nautilus in Rosemere, but are never made. His boss sent someone to check her home. The police found the body of the young woman of 24 years. She had been raped, mutilated and strangled."

When I think back I can't think of any place I worked, where my boss or co-workers would have come to my home to look for me right away if I didn't show up for work. Maybe if I missed a few days and no one contacted them, I could see them calling my listed emergency contact or something. I have had jobs where I've become close friends with one or two people, and I could see one of them making a concerted effort to contact me over the course of the day, but not immediately going to my home to check on me.

It seems like Sylvie may have been either close to some of her colleagues, or maybe on a short leash with her boss. Who was sent to check on her? And did they enter her home, or just knock and raise the alarm when there was no response?

Sylvie Laverdière
On April 18, 1989, Sylvie Laverdière was found dead in her apartment in Sainte-Thérèse. She was partially nude and the crime scene showed that she had been strangled. Her body had also been mutilated.

The victim's purse was found 2.5 km from her residence, along chemin Sainte-Thérèse, not far from Autoroute 640.

At the time of her death, Ms. Laverdière was 24 years old. She was the manager at Centre de conditionnement Mathers (Nautilus), in Rosemere. She worked mainly during the evenings and usually left the centre around 11 p.m. for her apartment, where she lived alone. The witnesses met with in the course of the investigation described the victim as a candid, forthright and talkative person. She had no known enemies.

If you have any information that could help solve this crime, contact the Centrale de l’information criminelle of the Sûreté du Québec at 1 800 659-4264

Wondering now if the perp also worked evenings or was a student?
Wish LE would give a hint as to what type of items the perp may have left behind in her apartment.
Were the items things that perp forgot or were lost in a struggle, or something purposely left behind?
