Tammy Churcher
Tammy Churcher was reported missing by her mother in January 2003 at the OPP station in Tillsonburg, Ontario. Her mother was worried because she had not had any news of her daughter for a few weeks, including the Christmas holidays, which was very unusual for the daughter, a mother of three young children.

The investigation started in Ontario, then moved to the Cowansville region in Québec, where Ms. Churcher stayed with her boyfriend in the fall of 2002. The victim's body was never found, but the investigation leads us to believe that she was the victim of a homicide that occurred in Québec.

If you have any information that could help solve this crime, contact the Centrale de l’information criminelle of the Sûreté du Québec at 1 800 659-4264.''

Sorry for asking all this questions. I hope somebody can answer them. Maybe you are willing to @GimpyFrog. If not no problem. I can understand that totally. I feel very sorry for her, you, other family and friends.

What happened to the boyfriend? Was he the father of one or more of her children? Is there an ex involved?
Who did see her last, where exactly (December 2002)?
Were her kids living with her?
Where was she living/staying in December 2002? Did she leave stuff behind, like...?
Did she work, if yes, where?
What was her lifestyle? Did she disappear before?
Does she have additional identifiers, tattoos f.i. Is she missing any non-vital organs?
Did family deposit DNA/dental records?
Any favorite jewelry, pierced ears?
Is Tammy her birth name or short for fi Tamara. Is Churcher her maiden name or married name?

Considering the time that went by without making contact her case seems concerning.

I hope for the best or at least that her remains can be found.

<modsnip - reference removed>

With all the information known by LE why is this still called a missing person case in all the official files on the internet. As you told they found some remains of her (confirmed with DNA?), if so she is basically not missing anymore. Maybe parts of her skeleton are missing, but the way it's presented now it's suggesting she could be still alive or has left on her own accord, while this is not really realistic and is distracting from were her disappearance is about. In this context f.i. naming the clothes she was wearing when last seen has no meaning IMO.

Maybe they couldn't proof it was a murder persé, based on the remains they found, but if LE really believes this was murdered and there was a POI, why is this (very cold) case not on record as such or at least the information added? It's sounds kind of strange and I'm afraid <modsnip> case has fallen between the cracks somehow.

IMO the story surrounding her disappearance should be rewritten and published with new information or a different kind of call for help to the public to jock peoples memories. It looks like the search for your sister is a search for (additional?) unidentified remains. In that context it's important to name the injuries she sustained in the accident and the metal in her hand (do you remember which hand?)

Maybe LE has problems with proofing she was murdered and/or make a factual connection with who did it, so they can't bring the case to court or arrest B even now he is back in Canada or others while still being suspects. I think something like this is going on in the case of your sister. If so LE must have elaborated about it and I think your mom, being the contact, should know more.

Strange thought: could they have relocated her remains to another place, even another country (USA) That would seriously hinder the making of a connection between partly remains of a Jane Doe and your sister. I still would like to know what they exactly found or what was missing.

Sorry for my late response.
I believe the small piece of scalp was found in the back seat of the truck.

I agree that Tammy's case has definitely slipped through the cracks, somehow. I wish I could get public a public interest story.
I believe that there has to be more people out there with information that can help.

I am trying to set an appointment with my mother to discuss this. She has agreed to give me some information. I should know Tammy's exact injuries and where the medical repairs were made, by tomorrow morning. I will be back with a full report then. I hope I can maybe clear a little of the fog.

Thank you so much.

I feel so sad suddenly....It must be so hard, can't even begin to imagine what you are going through. No thanks needed. X

Hello, this seems to have fallen inactive, sadly. There has been no news from @GimpyFrog. I am from Québec, and I have new information.

@Bit of hope --

The Sûreté du Québec (Quebec Provincial Police) released a new website yesterday for "Dossiers Non-Résolus" (Unsolved Cases or commonly known as Cold Cases). In the fiche regarding Tammy, (Tammy Churcher – Cold cases) the SQ states "The victim's body was never found, but the investigation leads us to believe that she was the victim of a homicide that occurred in Québec.".

The SQ, therefore, confirms that the investigation techniques they used found them to believe she was a victim of a homicide and that the homicide was in Québec. From knowledge, the SQ would also not mention they never found the body if they found a part of the body or even a bone with DNA on it. Therefore, I believe the remains found or the bone found was not Tammy's. A few months ago, the SQ found a scalp in a Sherbrooke's forest area, many believed it could be Tammy's scalp but it was not.

The SQ new updated website seems more user-friendly and could help obtain new informations regarding this case, I hope.
