When was the AA issued?
It could be possible he crossed into the States (assuming that's the border you're talking about) before the AA was issued.
Although, without a passport for either of them, that could prove difficult. I don't know what the document requirements are for driving into the States, so this could be a moot point.

A: don't know. checking to see if that was actually the girl's residence.

They don't even know if house where Terry Blanchette body found was where he lived or not!

Maybe Hailey was actually abducted at 3:30, but she failed to show up at day care or something and the day care reported her missing at 11:15.

*snip Police are investigating a suspicious death after a man was found inside a northwest motel room. Officers were called to the Banff Trail Motel in the 2100 block of 16 Ave N.W about noon Monday.
Officers could be seen going in and out several rooms throughout the afternoon at the three-storey building, which was surrounded by police tape.
