Not sure what you are saying about the area code. Are you thinking 2tim315 is AM under a different name tweeting his area code / location to someone else?

it's either

1) some random internet stalker harassing him on being involved.

2) a colleague informing him the truck has been located using a throwaway twitter account.

i'm leaning more towards the first option.

as for the area code being 315, it's in the twitter account bio.

These two guys got to be super stupid to do something like this. If I were going to rob someone or even planning to take his life I wouldn't flaunt my face around town before the deed. When they were in the truck with TM they got to know there were at least two witnesses out there, the first guy they test drove with and TB's wife! Did they really believe when TB disappeared or returned home without the truck nobody was going to say nothing?

i was mapping possible routes as well earlier.. was thinking if he made a stop at the hanger, a nice shot to backroads up around the city to his mother's house.

http://goo.gl/maps/rNYVT

Or a slightly shorter route if they didn't avoid highways and toll roads. It would go from 2 hr 58 min to 2 hours 21 mins.

no chance they'd toll the 407, and as for avoiding highways the 401 does have a lot of traffic cameras, not sure if they record footage or just livestream.

even still 3 hour drive, mostly backroads.. at most a missing person report only being initiated.. i wouldn't think they'd have to worry yet at that point..

but i really think the Airport hanger housed the truck until they could load it into the hauler... of course no evidence of this, and not sure if waterloo airport has ground cameras out near that hanger.

IMO, a one-time stalker wouldn't illicit a response from AM who hasn't used his Twitter account since (iirc) Nov 2012

ETA: Arghhh ... sorry, am somewhat twitter challenged here ;) .. AM's tweet came first at 7:17 and ST's was at 8:12

Well, the issue for these two really.... Was the phone. Without the phone records used to call tim and previous fellow.... The odds of getting caught would have been much lower. Because police would never have found other guy who went for test drive, who later pointed out the specific tattoo.

I wonder how much they would have been concerned, if at all. They seemed brazen enough to show their faces without worry, and may have felt people were looking for a truck and not the trailer (if it was in the trailer at that time). Edited to add- the truck was spotted in Bradford, so they could have put it in the trailer at the hangar as you mentioned, and then taken whatever route they wanted afterwards thinking people would've been looking for the truck.

Oh well, my brain is getting tired. Gotta get some sleep. Hopefully by morning Tim will be found.

:seeya: G'night all!

I am probably on the wrong track with my thinking, but what if it was DM and suspect #2 who went to see the big guy's Dodge the day before because DM was interested in purchasing it. Say suspect #2 then came up with a bright idea of stealing one so he asked another friend to go with him to look at Tim's truck last Monday night. MAYBE DM was not involved in the crime but suspect #2 is and they arrested DM because of the tattoo the big guy noticed. Is it DM who owns the trailer? Could it be suspect #2 dropped the trailer off at DM's mom's house? I am just throwing thoughts out there as I cannot understand why a second suspect has been named by LE. Which leads me to believe DM is not talking, naming his accomplice. JMO and weird thought.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

from:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Timothy+3:1-5&version=NIV

ETA: That is the one and only tweet Second Timothy has ever made

Whoa, this is truly getting very strange. There is just no way this bible quote or this (preseumed) new twitter account with its single message to AM are co-incidental. Moreover, could be wrong, given what we know of their interests but it just doesn't strike me as probable that DM's friends are so conversant with bible passages that they could pop up with that one off the tops of their heads.

From all we've learned so far, it's the victim, not the perps, who have a corner on the good book. Very, very strange.

cell phone (only points to a location), cell phone records to an etobicoke area (maybe AM, since he's from Etobicoke) + ambition tattoo really point at DM .. if they didn't slip up with these two clues.. i really think Police would have absolutely no idea.

My gut tells me something went badly wrong. Im also thinking they could have actually intended to buy the truck, but something happened and these kids panicked.

Im scratching my head as to what could have happened though. Maybe hit a pedestrian making Tim a witness (cant find any hit and runs reported that night to back this up). Maybe accidental death that couldnt be explained away easily (concealed gun went off by mistake) -

Its hard to entertain these theories without letting imagination take over though.

robbery happened and maybe drugged (chloroform?) or assaulted Tim and he wouldn't wake up? They panic and drop the body and hide the vehicle?

Well, I dont think intent was ever to purchase... He showed up on sunday, mid day...and told big fellow he and pal walked there. 2ndly, there is something else that police have not said, when asked if the big fellow was suspicious of what he said.... It is possible, he may have asked it it was gps enabled.... Since it was a company vehicle.

very good point, plus IIRC it was during daylight at a business, not a residential address... maybe a camera was visible and they got spooked?

No intention to buy truck... They planned a kidnapping to get keys to truck.

Your wrong....cellular records also give numbers that phone dialed out...hence why other individual was found. Police did state they were going to chase every number that phone dialed out to. Also, when given a warrant, the cell provider can also provide a recorded conversation of call... I was told though a 6mth record is kept and recycled.

sorry, i meant the physical finding of the cellphone didn't give them much other then a location to search...

the knowledge of the number that called Tim from his records would of been the smoking gun.
