To those suggesting hot wiring the truck. That is an old school thing. The ram uses a 'skim' module and cannot be stolen without the key or a tow truck. Imo, this is a hit that was done by DM in order to clear him of a debt owed. Perhaps that debt owed relates to his lawyer and the heroin case. In the crime world, you lose dope you still pay for it with cash or your life. Maybe the debt was large enough that they offered him this job instead. Hes nit talking, which may suggest he knows that if he does, hes dead. Remember, DM has ties overseas.

Ok, so in regards to this "unknown" suv that LE can't identify. Could it possibly be this Yukon that DM owned. If you look at the newer model Yukon's it sure looks like a suv to me! The older models looked more like a pickup with a capped box.

Like I have been saying, he needed the key!

I wish AM's fb page was still up. One of his friends had a picture of someone wearing a bandana mask holding a bullet with "your name here" written on it. On that person's fb page were numerous photos of him in various masks and bandanas

So by your theory... AM is not cleared and still a suspect. If Tim was of suspect, his answer would have been that he was unable to answer

Did I say AM wasn't cleared? No. I can understand your rationale behind your point, but i didn't say that and I'd prefer to not be misquoted. And I don't know what you mean by your last sentence. Who said anything about Tim being a suspect?? I certainly did not.

I think the only link between TB and DM, is that somewhere in their conversation after they started driving DM said something about flying and TB clued in. Because of what he heard about this playboy at the Waterloo airport.
DM realized "Nasa we have a problem".
I am not buying, that their intent all along was to kill him, they would have killed the first guy.
The trailer was not used bcuz too many vehs would have been involved.
I am curious if TB got the call on Sunday or Monday ref showing the veh.

Maybe the first truck owner was passed over because they knew they would have to lift his body into the incinerator back at the farm, and were looking for a smaller victim.

I was watching CP24 about a half an hour ago and a reporter confirmed what I had heard in the 2:30 news conference yesterday.
The police believe that it was Tim's truck that was targeted, not Tim himself.
The Detective made a verbal slip and corrected himself when asked about the believed target.
Here is a copy of the original news conference.

I will apologize if I'm wrong, but my brain won't let me believe this was about a truck. There are plenty of trucks DM could have stolen without having to resort to murder, especially with the resources they had (money, tools, equipment). If it were as simple as DM and crew being vehicles thieves then why haven't the LE offered that as a motive?

In a previous thread, there were sleuthers who drew a possible connection to vehicle thefts which occurred in Bracebridge. Also, the so-called large man whose truck drew the attention of the DM gang. He was not harmed, according to LE, due to his size. The guy was probably a giant and formidable in appearance and demeanor.

The police have revealed that there is no connection between Tim and DM other than the fateful meeting.

I saw that same FB page too.

What I'm saying is that his past was suspect or people he knows which is not case. How are you to decipher what police say is true or stall tactic

I believe police would have looked into that.... And the specific type of "construction" would be of a large company competition, also type of construction was not said...drywaller? Plumber? Framer? Electrician? Etc...... Police have said tim is "self employed" which would be considered small.

The type of construction has been mentioned in various articles that were posted here. Heating and cooling systems.

As per local news channel "second arrest in near future"

Not by police... Other sources then

So why go from stealing cars in bracebridge which is approximately a 3 hr drive from etobicoke and likely 4.5 hr drive to Waterloo to stealing a truck in your backyard. And I'm not saying DM and TB knew each other, I'm saying there is a link between them.

I live in Southwestern Ontario and I've heard the sound of a helicopter flying the past 4 days in a row. I don't typically hear that sound too often, and usually it has been the ORNGE life-flight helicopter or eyes in the sky looking for pot plants. It's too early for spraying farmland or checking corn fields for pot so I wonder what the black and white helicopter has been doing in this area recently. Could the police be using aerial view to try to identify and discover the "unknown" second vehicle? There have been arrests down here in the past related to chop shops.

There have been many aerial photos taken. I would imagine with such a large area, the police would be flying over to look at everything repeatedly.
And all of the media outlets are showing aerial views of the area and other areas of interest in this case.

another theory I have is that DM might have been blackmailed into assisting with this crime, and he has now been hung out to dry.

His silence might suggest he is afraid to implicate his blackmailers.

I've been thinking the same, that or connection to organized crime

I'm not suspecting TB's past and nor will I. LE's comments are always based on the evidence they have released to the public. It's not possible for them to have released everything when under their own admission they still have a lot of evidence to go through. I don't think TB and DM knew each other but I'm saying there is a link there.

I think one of the gems is, why was TBs cell found where it was.
If you have some thing that is going to link you why leave the phone where it would be found, there are a kazilliin places to get rid of a phone. they had a burner phone and felt it would never link back to them.
Imo the phone fell out of the truck while an exchange was going on.
Why travel all across Brantford to that location.
