I'm not saying i don't think he's involved, and the charges indicate that LE have evidence saying he is somehow involved, but if you take out speculation and some pretty significant assumptions, the info available publicly doesn't conclusively indicate his involvement beyond sunday.

Not sure how you can say the bolded statement above. There is lots of evidence that points the direction that he was involved beyond Sunday. Trailer with TB's truck found on DM's mother's property. Neighbours say it was brought there late Wednesday night. Police don't just go about arresting and charging people because, obviously there is lots of evidence indicating he was involved beyond Sunday.

Just an FYI - Matt Kavanaugh is a Staff Sgt, not a DS. :)

I recall him being introduced as "Detective-Sergeant".

From LFPRESS.COM

Hamilton Police Det.-Sgt. Matt Kavanaugh had to break the news to Sharlene Bosma that her husband will never be coming home to her and their two-year-old daughter.

Could the cell phone have been thrown out of the vehicle by TB as a clue once he knew he was in trouble? Why would the perps leave that kind of evidence, especially when they have the incinerator?

From Cbc.ca "Toronto man also charged with forcible confinement after Hamilton resident went missing"

the lawyer just said on CP24 outside of the court that

The lawyer already lost all respect after the first statement about his pure client.

which is why i used the phrase "info publicly available". i assume we know about 25% of what LE does, but we don't know that it was him dropping of the trailer at his mom's.

unrelated, but i remember reading a post in this thread (or maybe the last one) that incorrectly stated that DM was seen at his mother's on wednesday. the cbc report indicated that he was seen at his own house in mississauga on wednesday working outside:

Earlier this week, Millard's home was raided by Toronto police, neighbours said. He lived there alone after his father died six months ago. He was last seen by neighbours Wednesday evening working outside on his house with a few other men.

Do you know a model of the phone?
It is not so simple to remove the battery from current models or smartphones.
Older phones could loose a battery after a fall on the ground.

imo, the phone was not discarded by suspects otherwise a woman would not find two pieces close by. Or suspects are really without brains, and everything was done in a rush.

Still a mystery to me: to make a test-drive at the dark night, and to go for it with strangers
.

I was wondering if TB had just got home from work late as his wife said he was wearing work boots and seeing he was self employed he may work late and this would be why he scheduled the test drive so late. JMO

From Cbc.ca "Toronto man also charged with forcible confinement after Hamilton resident went missing"

Poor wording by cbc i am guessing...Almost makes it sound like they have someone else.

the lawyer just said on CP24 outside of the court that there is a "story behind all of this" which "he can obviously not talk about" ... and he also said when asked about possible framing, he could not comment on that.

IMO, DM was the perpitrator and master mind behind this, however, he will await for the other suspects to be aressted and then turn on them. I believe DM is actually smarter than it may all appear.. again all just IMO

"Typical" statement for a defense attorney, blah, blah, blah, yeah right!:moo:

Maybe it is not related but this morning on 404 we saw, the first time in three years, a policemen on a motorcycle closely observing cars.
Cruisers are common, but a motorcycle.

My guess is because they added the charge they have been given time to review disclosure before entering a plea.

Agreed, but if Im not guilty Im NOT GUILTY regardless of the circumstances or evidence. KWIM? JMO

That's what I thought too. Because otherwise, these guys a real smart...

I think its safe to say he used the incinerator in the disposal, given that the body was burned and the police are focusing on this piece of equipment.

Now If you purchase a livestock incinerator without owning livestock shortly before using it to dispose of a body, I think its fair to say it wasnt purchased because it wss pretty cool.

Purchase or rent an incinerator, but steal a truck? Hmm...

I was wondering this too because the video of the neighbours that reported the trailer in the driveway said they seen the trailer there when they got home late on Thursday night as well as a neighbour from across the street (younger guy) said he seen truck lights in his bedroom window between midnite and 1:00 am Thursday going into Friday when it was being parked in the driveway. Not sure which one is true? :moo:

I agree, an older phone the battery can easily be removed if it dropped. But a smartphone? You have to take off the back case to do this and even if dropped I dont know that it'd come out. Unless thrown? I'd like to assume a working man would have some type of otterbox etc on his smartphone if he indeed had one.

LE's statement that DM's gf may be a witness and the driver of the second vehicle may have been female puts a spin on things

The participants in the crime might have been DM, DM's gf, and the younger, shorter, smaller man in his early 20's, suspect #2

In this scenario DM sounds like the leader, and certainly the biggest of the 3 (at over 6 feet) and probably the one who overtook TB

...but he sure is stupid to have so much evidence tagged to him

if DM's gf was the second driver, I think they stopped in the brantford business park to rearrange passengers and split up, and dump TB's phone

It would have been incredibly risky to have two men and a body in a hot truck, so I think one of the men went in the SUV with the body and the other flew solo in the hot truck
