Would they need a search warrent to search the first truck? I would think if the owner gave the ok they could search without that. It wouldn't make sense for him to refuse IMO.

I don't think keeping someone from opening those back doors was much of a concern, as there is an access door on both sides of that trailer.
Why worry about someone getting in the back doors when they can just walk through a door on the side?
It was through one of the side doors that the police confirmed that there was a black truck in the trailer, and that Tim was not.

Yes, I saw the side door open in one of AM's photos in the Baja album. JMO

I doubt it.. they need to follow procedure or evidence can be thrown out. You cannot just barge into places without lawful reason...and the truck was not visible from the outside of trailer from what I can tell. What I find odd...is that a neighbor called to report a trailer on someones driveway !!!! It just seems too convenient to me. Plus I am guessing that said neighbor didn't want his/her name disclosed ...

Convenient? I'd have called LE too if I knew my neighbour's son was arrested for murder, they were looking for the victim and his truck, and all of a sudden a big-a$$ trailer capable of hiding a truck gets parked at alleged perps mom's place next door to me. You bet yer bippy i'd call it in.

Actually this is a good thought...fingerprints would be in that vehicle if it hasn't been cleaned. Only problem would be if the person that was with Dellen on that day, sat in the backseat, doesn't have fingerprints on file to match them to.

Well, the ad is gone now, so only kijiji may know what was really there (unless someone captured a screen shot). I too thought all kijiji ads showed the first 6 digits of the phone number and you had to click to see the rest, but when I look now, not even half of them do. People just don't want their phone numbers harvested by telemarketers.

First off, hi everyone. This is my first post but I've been following this board for about a week now. I'm impressed by the great sleuthing everyone is doing.

As far as the ad goes, you can pull it from googles cache. Just google "ad id 482363749" then click the small down arrow to show googles cache from May 8th.

The comment at the bottom of the ad has been mentioned already. I find it very puzzling that's for sure.

Hopefully, LE has obtained a list of all passengers flying to Mexico, once DM was apprehended ... long shot!

Mexico does have an extradition treaty with Canada.

Flights to Mexico, Florida, France and Croatia IMO.

But if they're right and approximately 5 people are involved: 2 driving, 2-3 following, then that seems like a LOT of people all convinced that murder is "ok" via video games or bad moral compasses. Isn't it more likely that the moral compass was off when it comes to stealing a truck than when it comes to killing another person?

Yes & no. I work with young people (30 & under) all the time & it's frightening how many of these people act & react based on what they want in the moment - and the more the merrier seems to be the thing that I find most disturbing. I'm amazed what people are willing to do, to the lengths they are willing to go for a thrill. The moral compass is IMO totally missing in many people today. We're desensitized & sometimes willing to pay for what we want with someone elses pain, suffering or life. Sadly, I don't think this is really all that far fetched of a theory. JMO.

It was a couple of days before they knew of the first test drive so by the time LE got to the first seller the evidence in the truck (which is no doubt used daily and shown to others in this time) would be contaminated

So I don't think they have bothered with the first seller's truck, the evidence would be inadmissible

I agree. She also didn‘t share the same last name as DM. the neighbours may have all kept to themselves and only had the occasional “Hello“ to each other. If you quizzed me on my neighbours I‘d have barely any perosonal info to provide.

Good info...the link to his lawyer, their past association must be the Riverside Condo. Probably an investment property. I will have to find the link that evidenced that the legal cases that Deepak worked on in his previous law suit were mostly new high-priced Toronto condos. One of the most notorious condo scams in Toronto was the Trump. I'll have to go digging now. Not relevent to who suspect #2 is, but will maybe answer the lawyer/accused link.
