Is there MSM confirmation that WM cause of death was a self inflicted gunshot to the EYE. I have heard many suggest suicide by gunshot but have not seen confirmation about it being to his eye socket...

Yes changes need to come now! It is really a disgrace how Toronto Police handled the disappearance of Laura Babcock. If you search the Toronto Police website for reference to Laura Babcock you find ZERO hits! If they issued a press release for her disappearance it must have been taken off their website. We see from other websites how LBs friends were desparate to find her but the people who are paid the big six-figure salaries to 'serve & protect' couldn't care less about her!

The result is a fine young man with a beautiful wife and baby daughter is now dead!

Echoes of the Scarborough Rapist/Paul Bernardo bungle, IMO

We were just discussing this in Laura's thread, but it's hard to blame the police when no one in her family apparently came forward about her disappearance. (As you mentioned, it's "friends" who reported her missing.) But where IS her family? Did the police contact them?

Just thinking about motive...if it's really about the truck, here are a few motive ideas:

Thieves Targeting Catalytic Converters From Dodge Pickups

Vehicles stolen in GTA shipped around the world
http://www.thestar.com/news/investi...s_stolen_in_gta_shipped_around_the_world.html

A man's life lost for a catalytic converter? If it really does come down to just that part, then we live in really screwed times.

Its not that implausible if you imagine that the bullet could have entered the eye from an oblique angle.

imagine shooting yourself in the head, holding the gun slightly away and pointing towards your temple.

Yup, I'm getting so many flashbacks to Paul Bernardo this evening....

Was it a bullet or was a shotgun used? Anyone know what calibre if it was a bullet?

I would think, following the psychopath theory, that the truck and its parts would just be a bonus to the kill.

I realize that country folk watch out for their area. I think I would be nosy as well watching him Excavate in March with a frozen ground and still plenty of snow, an incinerator and who knows what other curious behaviours they observed.

I know what you are saying flipflop and I am sure after what has happened we are grateful they took pics, However there is heavy machinery that will dig through frost and snow, whether that could I do not know.

Perhaps a call to the police if they were that concerned. They so very easily could of put themselves in danger,

Regarding Laura and Millard:

Lerner said he gave police Millard’s name from the very beginning, along with names of other friends of Babcock. But he said he became very suspicious after he saw Babcock’s phone record, which revealed that she had called Millard 13 times between June 30 and July 3 of last year. The phone records show that her very last call was made to Millard on July 3.

Lerner said he immediately took Babcock’s phone records to police. He said he texted and called Millard a number of times to ask him about Babcock’s calls.

"He doesn't answer me for two days, then I finally say ‘Hey look if you don't have any information that's fine, send me a text back to confirm receipt of this message,’” Lerner said. Around an hour later Lerner said he received a text from Millard asking him to meet for a coffee to discuss the issue.

Lerner said Millard denied receiving Babcock’s calls until he showed him Babcock’s phone record. Millard then told him that Babcock had developed a drug problem and that he had been supplying her with cocaine for months.

Possibly working on drainage issues, however is there "wetlands" prohibition in Ontario?

Also the broken trackhoe could be the reason the incinerator was purchased.

If there were drainage issues, the neighbours might also be aware of those issues. The fact that their interest was piqued by the heavy equipment on site, and in the winter, shows that something may have been fishy to them, not related to drainage alleviation.

Rural folk have known about the concept of "neighbourhood watch" from time immemorial.
