Details of Disappearance:
Todd was last seen on August 7, 1998 in the vicinity of West 10th and Birch Avenue, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
He stood up a friend at a concert on August 7, 1988 and he hasn't been heard from since. His belongings were left in his Vancouver apartment, where a sad poem addressed to "loved ones" was found lying in his room.

There are many pictures of him including one of the note he left behind. He would be 47 y/o now. His family misses him terribly.

Sadly, it sounds like Todd may have taken his own life. That sad poem is alarming to me. The thing about Vancouver is that there is such a vast amount of land available - walking off into the forest, the mountains, but most prominently, the ocean. When my mom's friend committed suicide, they had the note - but it took them a long time to recover the body, unfortunately.

I hope that this is not the case and that perhaps Todd went off to find a new life. That's my hope for most missing people, that they found greener grass...

Todd and I date for a few months in 1998. We had been broken up for 2-3 months before he went missing. He was a lot of fun to be around, but he had become increasingly erratic and was exhibiting some worryingly reckless behaviour. He wasn't working, and quickly blew through a large buyout package that he had taken from his employer. If memory serves, it was the Safeway grocery store chain. When he didn't show up to my place one night as planned, he called me in the wee hours, and said that his car had gone off the road as he driving back from Whistler, BC. I asked if he was drunk or if he had swerved to hit an animal and he said no. I found it quite odd and I can't remember what he said to make me think he might have done it on purpose, but I remember thinking that he had. He also frequently mentioned going to Grenada and Trinidad & Tobago, of all places. I mentioned all of this to the police when he disappeared but I got the impression that they didn't seem to think any of it was relevant. Just posting to keep this thread going, and that maybe it jogs something for someone so that his family can find some answers.
