A man is wanted for sexually assaulting a young girl on video, which is circulating online.

Police in New Brunswick have new clues in the case, and turned to Toronto Police to get the word out far and wide.

Const. Scott Mills, the Toronto Police Service’s resident social media specialist, took the hunt to Twitter and Facebook. It's an experiment Mills hopes will go viral.

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance locating a man wanted for
escaping lawful custody.
On Thursday, September 26, 2013, Steven Gordon Gonyea, 32, was appearing at the Ontario
Court of Justice at 444 Yonge Street to answer to charges of Criminal Harassment and
Break-and-Enter.
It is alleged that, between 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m., he escaped from lawful custody.
He is described as white, 6'1", 170 lbs., with short red hair and blue eyes. He was last seen
wearing a blue Adidas jacket with three white stripes on the sleeve and blue jeans"

Finally an arrest in the case of Nighisti Semret. I'm surprised it wasn't a white guy, as the video seemed to suggest. This misapprehension surely threw the police off. The man also murdered another woman earlier this year, so it's a relief to have him off the street.

I noticed that the video LE did on the cases a while back when they found they were linked called Erin attractive and Susan well.....they didn't say that and emphasized how different the cases were. NOW more recently they are saying they thought they were linked and Det. P. says they were both attractive.

But they still think the women were quite different and guess perp lived close to Susan.

Newspaper article irresponsibly imagines her being watched closing up shop on Yorkville etc. they don't know that.

I think the interesting way the two cases are linked is that both Erin's father and Susan's ex-husband were VERY successful. Now what are the chances a random stalker would happen upon two people not visibly high class at the moment but with immediate links to that class?

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance locating a wanted man.
Simon William Gares, 32, of Toronto, is wanted for threatening death and mischief under.
He has also made non-specific threats related to the safety of children attending elementary
schools.
He is described as white, 32, 5'11", with a medium build and short brown hair. When he was
last seen, he was unshaven and wearing black baggy jeans with a white symbol on the
pockets, a black polar fleece jacket and sunglasses.
Police believe Gares is violent and dangerous. If you see him, do not attempt to interact with
him. Call 9-1-1 immediately"

Police allege that the man made the threats to another person saying that he was going to go into a school and cause harm to students.

The threats were not specific to a particular school, police say.

The release from police prompted a letter to parents and guardians of children at at least one midtown Toronto school Wednesday.

“The (school) staff have been notified of this safety alert and students have been told to remember to walk home with a friend or partner or adult and to always walk the route as instructed by their parents,” says the letter from staff at Blythwood Junior Public School, which is located in the area of Mount Pleasant and Blythwood roads"

"Toronto police say they are “making progress” in their investigation into the 2009 murder of Christopher Skinner and have identified the make and model of the vehicle involved in the callous Entertainment District killing.

Skinner was killed four years ago today when he was beaten by a group of men and then run over at Victoria and Adelaide streets. Investigators believe Skinner got into some type of altercation with the group before he was murdered and may have accidentally brushed the vehicle while trying to hail a cab.

Detective Sergeant Stacy Gallant said at a Friday news conference that police are hot on the trail of his killers and won’t relent until they are brought to justice.

“We are making progress in this case…Yes, it’s been four years…but we are a step closer to (solving this case),” he said"

Hope someone steps forward, it is outrageous to think that Chris was kicked, beaten, knocked to the ground AND THEN purposely run over by the car, which then took off leaving a dying Chris to lay bleeding and broken on a city street.
Who can live with that knowledge and still be human? imo.

I agree. However, Giroux was adamant that the other individuals involved (at NBA party) were lifelong friends. But, who is to say what that means.

I really do wonder if detectives had a look at the cellphone records of everyone involved with E/M that night.
