Toronto police investigating after two dogs stolen at knifepoint

Police are asking for help finding a black Scottish Terrier and a Shih Tzu in a stroller.

''Toronto police are asking for help finding a black Scottish Terrier and a Shih Tzu in a stroller they say they say were dognapped at knifepoint in the city’s downtown.

Police say a person walking the dogs near the Yonge and Dundas Square area at around 11 p.m. last Thursday was confronted by a man and a woman.

They say the man drew a knife and then took off with the two dogs.

Police say Yurield is a black Scottish Terrier and Mari is a golden brown Shih Tzu who was in a stroller at the time.''

''The first suspect is described as a 25-year-old white man with black hair wearing a baseball hat and police described the second suspect as a white woman in her 30s with brown hair who was wearing a light green long-sleeve shirt and sweatpants''.

''The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating two dogs that were reported stolen at knifepoint.
It is reported that:

• on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at approximately 11 p.m., two dogs were in being walked in the Yonge Street and Dundas Street area
• the victim was confronted by a man and a woman not known to them
• the man produced a knife and took the victim's dogs

The first dog is described as a Golden Brown Shih Tzu named "Mari" that was in a stroller. The second dog is a black Scottish Terrier named "Yurield."
Suspect #1 is described as a male, white, 25-years-old, black hair, wearing a baseball hat.
Suspect #2 is described as a female, white, in her 30s, brown hair and was wearing a light green long sleeve shirt and sweat pants.

Toronto police are looking for two suspects after two small dogs were allegedly stolen at knifepoint earlier this month.

"They do require special food and medication due to their allergies. If anyone has any information around the whereabouts of these dogs please contact police," Const. Sinderella Chung told CP24.

A woman has been arrested after two dogs were stolen at knifepoint in downtown Toronto earlier this month.

''A woman has been arrested after two dogs were stolen at knifepoint in downtown Toronto earlier this month.

The two dogs, a golden brown Shih Tzu named Mari and a black Scottish Terrier named Yurield, have been returned to their owner “unharmed” and in “good health,” according to police.''

''On Friday, the dogs were located in the area of Queen Street East and Bond Street and returned to their owner.

Angela Dupuis, 36, of Toronto was arrested and charged with robbery with an offensive weapon and possession of property obtained by crime.

A male suspect is still outstanding. The male is described as white, 30 to 40 years old, with a medium build.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a black baseball hat and had multiple tattoos on his body including one on his neck area. Police say he may be riding a black bicycle.
