Family of missing Calgary man overwhelmed by public support: ‘Everybody has come together’
''The family of a missing Calgary man says they are overwhelmed by the support they have been receiving from people across the country as they continue their search.

Danielle Lens describes her son Tyrese Lens as an outgoing and athletic guy who could make friends with anyone.

“He’s just an all-around great kid. Always happy. He loves sports. He loves being around people,” said Danielle.''

''On Sunday, Tyrese’s family was at Pearce Estate Park by the Bow River putting up posters of the missing man. The 21-year-old was last seen on Sunday, June 27 at 5 p.m. by a beach along Harvie Passage, police said''.

''Tyrese’s family said former schoolmates and teachers from Lester B. Pearson High School have reached out to them and offered support. Danielle said the former high school football player had an impact on many people.''

''Tyrese is described as six feet two inches tall, with a slim build, blond hair and brown eyes.''

Police ask for help locating missing man

We are asking for help to locate a man who went missing from a beach along Harvie Passage in Pearce Estate Park.

Tyrese LENS was last seen on the beach with friends around 5 p.m., on Sunday, June 27, 2021. He got up to walk to another area of the beach to talk to some other friends and never returned, leaving his personal belongings behind.

A search was conducted of the area yesterday and today, but no sign of Tyrese has been found. We are hoping someone in the community might have information on his whereabouts.
Tyrese is in his early 20s and is described as 6'2" tall, with a slim build, blond hair and brown eyes. He was wearing silver shorts and a dark Blue Jays baseball cap with no shirt or shoes.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Tyrese LENS who was located deceased on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

As the circumstances of his death are not suspicious no further information can be shared.

We would like to thank the public and media who responded to our plea for information as it was crucial to the investigation.
