Amber Alert: Hinton-area father 'armed and dangerous', RCMP say
"A Hinton-area father is “armed and dangerous” say RCMP after issuing an Amber Alert Friday for a 14-month-old child abducted west of Edmonton.

Waylon Armstrong was abducted from his father’s home in Brule, near Hinton, about 2:30 a.m., RCMP said. The little boy was abducted by Cody Armstrong after an “altercation,” police said.

RCMP said in a statement Friday morning that Armstrong was in possession of a long barrel rifle when he left his house in Brule, about 314 kilometres west of Edmonton. He is considered armed and dangerous.

“Waylon Armstrong and his mother were at Cody’s home when an altercation took place and Cody left the home with Waylon,” police said.

Yellowhead County shows that Brule has a population of just 162.

Resident of the hamlet, Lisa Chell, said everyone in the tiny community is worried for the family."
