Earnshaw disappeared from Clemenceau district, SK, southwest of Hudson Bay, SK, on September 23, 1981. He was on a hunting trip at the time and became separated from his two companions. That evening, he failed to return to their vehicle and has never been seen or heard from again. Despite an extensive search of the area, Earnshaw was never located. His whereabouts remain unknown.
