His name of Polish origin. Poland historically is one of the “most catholic” countries in the world.

I agree that it is highly likely that Władysław is Polish. Even though his surname, with its -ko ending, is reflective of a Ukrainian surname, the spelling of his first name is unmistakably Polish.

@Nate_Bro Based on the location where he disappeared, 8052 rue de Béarn, it is possible that he was trying to go to the Church of St. Michael and St. Anthony at 5580 St-Urban street. St. Michael's is the predominant church that Poles in Montreal attend. The area is well-covered by the stm and it would have only been a short walk from the bus stop to the church (3-5 mins tops)
