Carol was last seen in Sanford, Florida on August 15, 1976. She left her home with a Caucasian male in a 1974-77 Chevrolet Corvette. Six days later, her companion got a traffic citation in Blythe, California, but it isn't known if Carol was with him at the time. The companion later told authorities they had had an argument and he left her in either Red Bluff or Red Rock, Arizona. The man then drove back to Sanford.
