i just went to the ocso inmate information and it's now showing "bond pending" again.
I wonder if someone came up with the 50,300 to bond her out??

It just occured to me where Casey gets the idea she's "above the law."

I was going to ask about this. I also did not think you could block a sidewalk.

Ask any Union official on strike. Strikers can picket on the sidewalk as it is public property. They cann't block a driveway or hinder anyone from entering a driveway, but they can stand right up on the edge of it. I hope the city/county comes and removes all that and has a little talk with MR. WE MAINTAIN IT SO WE OWN IT, The webcam is not showing it now, but I wish it did.

Frankly I'm surprised he didn't block off the street.

Just watched the Today show - thanks for the upload!!

I don't get it. Cindy says that everyone should be looking for her daughter... but the most obvious question to follow up her comments would be, where are we to look if THE LAST PERSON TO SEE HER ALIVE won't provide any information on WHERE TO START!?!?!?!

If she continues to be mum on the who, what, where, when and why - what is LE, and the public to do??? I know that JB has said "There is a very compelling reason why she hasn't spoken..." but I have to say, more compelling then directing a nation of people to locate this girl???

Why won't ANY interviewer DRILL DOWN on this most very basic issue???

And on a side note, what the heck is the purpose of this supposed "Family Spokesperson" I have barely heard or seen him since his announcement.... and everytime he speaks it's an afterthought to something Cindy has already said. The purpose of a Spokesperson is so that the family doesn't have to be bothered with interviews and media, can go on about finding their missing person and helping with searches, and not saying ANYTHING that would incriminate or hinder. All information is usually filtered through the spokesperson...

Think it's dependent on the news sources checked as with many other things. Obviously though others have started without the crowd after viewing the video from last night. Last Sunday was the touring band drive in. Who knows what surprise group will turn up over this long holiday weekend.

Semi O/T. Is YM's name pronounced Mell-itch? Or Mell-ick? I've only seen it in writing, and Cindy referred to him in her interview this a.m. pronounced "Mell-itch".

Just curious. I always thought it was pronounced the other. Not that it makes a hill of beans. She did happen to reference my most favorite line he uttered in the 400 pages of documents: "Do you think we're stupid?"

My respect-o-meter rating for him went up about 25 points (ding ding) with that one line during Casey's interview at Universal!

If it is a slavic name, as his given name suggests, it would correctly be pronounced with a sound similar to a "k". However, of course, people may pronounce their names however they choose. Sorry, I guess that wasn't much help.

I told you I read some where the bonding company said they where undecided if they would reinstate the 50,000 bond agian

**On the sidewalk issue, this is a clear violation of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). I have a disabled son, and if I lived in that neighborhood, I would be calling the city PRONTO. This makes disabled (a protected class), elderly, people with strollers, etc have to USE THE STREET for access.

Ok...thoughts after seeing the video of the Today show.

Cindy has thrown down the gauntlet. She's signaled that she's no longer working with LE. She slammed Yuri and other investigators, claiming that there was no arrest warrant, saying that they are "grandstanding," saying that they have no reason to set her bail so high.

Expect more info to be released to the public by LE now. Cindy (and that so-called "family spokesman" ) slapped them in the face on a nationwide tv show.

Police will respond. We'll learn more today.

And I don't see denial when I listen to Cindy. I see "protect my daughter at all costs, even if that cost is ever finding my granddaughter's corpse."

I agree with most of this. She's basically gone on national TV and called LE a bunch of schmucks who aren't doing their jobs.

But I do see denial. I see the "protect my daughter" part. But I see a woman who's refusing to see facts for facts, and is doing anything she can to discount anything that says something outside of her view of the way things must be. I think Cindy's the kind of person who would argue with you over what day of the week it was, just because she thought it was Friday and it's actually Thursday. No amount of convincing is gonna make her wrong.

Yes, it would be an easement on the backside of your property, because there's no roadway there.

Where there's a roadway, there's a right of way. The city always has right of way at least to the back of the curb, usually to the backside of the ditch, and always to the backside of the sidewalk.

Okay, so right of way? Got it.

road to sidewalk = right of way
easement = portion of my property that I must allow city, county access to
Eminent Domain = right of city/county/state to take a portion of my property for widening roadways, etc

I think that I got now.

Boy, do I feel sheepish!

I saw the Today show video (Thanks Patty for the uploads). It's disappointing that so many people speaking with Cindy blow their chance at asking the right question. Cindy very indignantly told the newscaster, "You don't understand her [Casey's] rationale [for the way she is handling things/not talking to LE]". The response should have been an immediate, "Okay, then, what's her rationale?" Then, Cindy would either have to tell the truth (will never happen) or say "I don't know what her rationale is", in which case the newscaster could have said "Well, you're complaining that people don't understand your daughter's rationale but you don't understand it either?" As a lawyer, I cringe when I see lost opportunities like this.

I'm not a lawyer but I feel the same way.

The media lets Cindy & George off way too easy! That allows Cindy to keep thinking her inane ranting are having a positive effect in the defense of Casey.


Just listened to the Today Show interview. Garrison is just another enabler in the 'Poor Casey' game, I see.

Cindy's still pushing the rotting pizza theory?!!! What next, she'll pay off some pizzaman to claim he uses dead bodies in his pizza ingredients?

Blah, blah, blah.... it's all the media's fault. It's all the public's fault. It's all LE's fault. One day, Cindy will add the JURY to that list of perceived enemies that she blames for Caylee's death.

When watching the video from this morning (sat., 8/30) with Cindy and the family spokeman (can't remember his name) lots of ridiculous statements were made but one of the craziest was when the spokesman said people had rushed to judgement with the JonBenet case and the Madeline McCann case only later to find out the truth??????????????? Gee, I didn't realize those two cases had been solved (sarcastic grin). And his further point was that people were doing the same in Caylee's case, blaming family rather than looking for the child.
