--somebody else got into the car and put in a different dead body and just happened to pick the car of a mother with a missing child who had not reported her missing -- (wow, big coincidence) and also lied countless times to investigators.

And don't forget someone also had to go and get the dead body out.

Yep its all a struggle :bang:

Murt's board is still up but people are afraid to post it because he's been banned from WS (per his own statement).

Just because he can't post here shouldn't mean we can't talk about him or his website. That, if true, seems a little too strict. Until admin tells us differently, I suggest we hold off on the self-censorship. IMOO

As I said above, very different. Lawyers are held to different standards. LE are required to tell the truth in court, but can lie to the public to assist in an investigation.

There's no difference and that's not any rationale for obligating a lawyer to be truthful with the media. There's an attorney-client privilege in effect, for one thing. And pure honesty to the public might undermine the lawyer's defense strategy. Don't you suppose that LE monitors Baez's public statements?

I still don't understand the point, or the general presumption that people here are absolutely entitled to know what Baez is planning ahead of time. To steal a line from Casey, "Everyone Lies". Does the NFL football coach in your town tell the media in advance what the game plan is for the team's next game?

There are all kinds of lies. Some lies prejudice the listener, placing them in a bad position. There are innocent white lies. There are lies of necessity. It's perfectly acceptable to opine that Baez is a bad lawyer. But he's not really lying to anyone -- not in the bad sense of that word.

I am afraid I do not have your "respect" for defense attornies. My experience is that most of them are slimy liars who go for every bit of free publicity they can get - truth be damned. This case will put Baez on the map and don't think he doesn't know it. He might even be able to get out of his storefront address and into a respectable office building.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. But this exchange is not really premised on respect for the profession, or lack of respect - for that matter. It has more to with a fundamental understanding of what is happening. The discussion here is hardly advanced by calling Baez a no-good liar just because the public isn't getting a play by play. Or complaining that Casey still hasn't confessed.

Like you, I also believe that Casey is guilty of something. But on the other hand, Casey isn't the first criminal defendant in the history of the world to falsely maintain her innocence. This shouldn't be shocking to anybody.

Just a sleuther like us that is local and out w/web cams and online answering questions. Has no LE/PI background. Not downing it, not sure how it helps? Some are entertained. He should be searching, IMO, instead of driving around w/webcam, that's JMO. If searches weren't happening, then cool that he is doing this for fellow cybersleuths, giving local view, etc...but there are searches...did he participate today? Asked on his chat, no answer. Someone that knows, let me know, I'm curious.

No he drove around all day. It was posted earlier somewhere else that he had signed up to search, but from what I understand he was told he could take no pics or video so he followed them down to Moss Park and was doing live feed from there without them knowing about it. He went down behind the airport and walked around while searchers were out at the park. He also posted TES docs on his website.

I wonder which Tony's number she wanted? TL or LE that recently lost his job due to not revealing extent of relationship with Casey. Cannot recall specifically if TL mentioned anywhere.
"My boyfriend" was the reason she wanted it... Not LE.

I want to share an experience today which has nothing to do with this case however it has to do with child neglect, my former dl was arrested today after police found the children alone in the car, she went to work and I am assuming she did not have a sitter so instead of calling for help she left a 5 yo and a 2 yo alone.

After finding out the children were ok I went into the Jail to see her and while I am not making excuses at all, what she did was totally irresponsible, however like a normal person she was so ashamed I had to peel her hands away from her eyes to get her to look at me so I could tell her yes I was disapointed howver I would always love her and I want her to take some time by herself as I think she is overwhelmed being a single parent. She is devastated by her actions, she will lose her children and I am pretty certain only get supervised visitation for awhile (as Imo should be!). I am very concerned for her right now and hope she will be able to get through this somehow.

We were very lucky today, she left a cell in the car the th 5 yo called her Dad who is LE, after figuring out where they were parked LE arrived to find the children screaming yet unharmed physically. The 5yo is my step gd and is with her Dad, I have my gs and he is asleep and safe. (My ds is working this evening).

Anyway I have been very blessed today as these children are here safe and sound.

I just wanted to make a point (which I am sure has been made) that the mother in the case must be a monster to have no feelings.

Wait, not 6 hours...

6 hours one day, 6 the next...6 the next....Does this guy have any other clients??? And all with his client saying NOTHING!

And remember, he is not defending her on murder charges! They are lying and child neglect. But JMO....maybe you know something else...

This is a complicated case. It's very possible that Baez is anticipating more serious charges and has begun preparations accordingly, in advance.

I am very skeptical of the idea that Casey is not communicating with Baez. Again, Baez is under no obligation to tell us -the public- anything about anything.

OJ Simpson got off scott free, acquitted of every single charge. Did you think OJ did it? I did. The case against OJ was considerably stronger than the case against Casey.

Casey has a right to maintain her innocence. It might cost her more jail time than she would serve by working out a confession. But that's her risk to choose. We're all just spectators. We have no say in anything.

While I do think there was more than enough to convict OJ and that yes, he was in fact guilty, remember that we have all of the evidence that was presented (if we followed it) in the OJ case as we see it now in hindsight. At this point I believe we only have seen very, very, very small fraction of the evidence that LE actually has in this case. There are showing much of what is their weakest...just enough to get charges...just enough to do what they need, nothing more.

Plus, Casey certainly has the right to maintain her innocence, but it is someone disingenuous to do that while everyone around you representing you screams that LE isn't searching while she isn't giving them any info as to where to search (or any info and/or leads that have not proven to be false/lies)

The thing that strikes me as being odd..among many things of course is Casey's usage of the word NANNY. At least here on the East Coast Nanny's are primarily referred to people that move into your house to help care for your child. Anything else is referred to as a babysitter or day care provider..where you drop your child off. Did she use the term Nanny b/c it rhymed with Zanny and she could say "I said the name Zanny many times but you must have heard Nanny"..it's all so bizarre. Some say she used the term Nanny b/c it made her sound like she had money. BUT IMO the fact that you live with Mommy and Daddy dispute that fact ten fold.
It is so on the west coast also. My niece in Chicago has a nanny - a live in one. I always found that an usual term for someone who is unemployed to use, also. I can only assume she has deluysions of grandier also with her other personality traits.

You sound like a fine person. She's lucky to have you. So glad it worked out and no one got hurt.

I gotta say, after your recent post letting us know how well you know Murt, I wondered if you might indeed be Murt. Now you seem personally offended.

I recall asking why you were so hostile when Tony Padilla started posting here.

:waitasec: Things that make me go hmmmm....

You have totally misrepresented what I have said. I never called Baez a 'no good liar" because the public isn't getting a play by play. I have said over and over, I think he shouldn't be giving a play by play and much more but I am sick of addressing your misrepresentations.

I never said I was shocked she was maintaining her innocence. I really think you are somehow connected to this case. IMOO

Well then we will agree to disagree. No lawyer spends all day, everyday for a week with a client building a defense to LYING and CHILD NEGLECT. No lawyer does. And I think thats an opinion but very close to fact.

And trust me Piz, I DONT want Baez to tell me anything!! And I think the judge in the hearing for her new arrest this morning told him the same thing, in so many words. Enough to embarrass him. Did you see it??

Thank you for your memory. Its not gossip, its an opinion I shared. Murt not only was banned from here, but CTV as well. Yes his beloved wife passed, I think he lost a son also. Point is, he meddled.

Bunny, I am glad you asked that. It feels like we are talking to ...well, somebody we have heard a lot from in the news....But that is probably a coincidense.?!?!:waitasec:

why do you keep spewing this stuff out? we are all saying he talks too much and is giving his case away, and changing it all the time...so why do you keep posting this stuff in return? It reads like propaganda to me. IMOO
