Can I ask a question?

I don't want to make this it's own thread, because this is such a basic question, surely it's been addressed in the media and I have missed it...

But this ... J Hopkins, I think? I may be confusing the name with the supposed work friend that knows Ca A was looking for Caylee. He had a son Zachary, right? And ZFG supposedly watched his child for a few years.

Have they not found this guy to discuss with him who and where this ZFG is? Surely he could easily come forward and at least PARTIALLY corroborate part of this story...

Jeff Hopkins does know Casey. He has no children. He did work at Universal when he was in high school, but he was fired in 2002 - years before Casey worked there.

One of the WS posters corresponded with Jeff via his myspace page - he said he's seen Casey once in the past year, when he ran into her at an alehouse a couple of weeks before her arrest.

No doubt he's been interviewed at length by LE!

PotatoHead :

Thanks so much for your response. Did I get the name right or am I confusing names? SO they HAVE spoken this guy and he's proven to have no son? Wow. Ok... just dotted some i 's and crossed some t 's for me. Thanks.

I have read through the 400 pg document, but I guess I missed this whole section.

ETA: posting while you were 100%Agave - thanks for your response as well!

Is this the marine guy, that has a myspace linked here, or is that someone else?

Marine guy- Hawkins

Interesting tidbit in regards to the interview with Mr. Hopkins: it was one of the very few tapes that was done surreptitiously. As was his mother's interview, aslo.

Not sure on the My Space question. I tend to avoid those links as too many innocents seem to get dragged in that way.

remember the day she got arested the inmate came forward and she told him the baby was with her ex boy friend, and the media went to the jail and LE told them she had never had any contact with anyone other than LE

I have read he was doing it for free, and they also went on record saying she had never been in a holding cell.

Baez is doing this for FREE???? He is gonna lose the shirt off his back. Whoa, somebody's got to pay him. I wonder???

And, who are the attorneys for George and Cindy? Why haven't we heard from them? Please don't tell me Jose is unethical enough to try to represent all 3 of them??

No ~ there were 3 attorneys present ~ Baez and his sidekick and the mystery (???) attorney. I thought is peculiar that they had lawyered up so quickly.

BTW ~ doing "private" paternity testing "Tupperware party style" is not illegal. It certainly raises the question of chain of custody and the reliability of the test results. . . but it's not illegal.

IIRC, she heard of JB from another inmate during processing or maybe waiting to make a phone call?

LE said she has NO contact with any other inmate, remember the phone calls are private from other inmates in some room.

I just read Doc set #2, pages 56, 57, and 58, which covers the interviews with the impound lot staff. There is nothing about keys or a purse being in the car. It does state "a white garbage bag inside of the trunk. Flies also came out of the trunk. Mr. Birch opened the garbage bag and observed several papers, a pizza box, and maggots."
That is the only thing it says about contents in the car. Is there anywhere else I can look?
Lanie

Nope, all of the tow truck drivers statements are in one spot. I sent you a PM, well 2 of them.

They'll blame Baez, NOT their daughter, for getting her to come up with an alternate defence for reasonable doubt. Seems like a pattern to make excuses for her behavior.

Yes, but would they ALLOW this defense to be used or would they sabotage it to protect themselves?

Would love to know what those papers were.

I'm curious what you think is worth dicsussing as merits of this case.

My post was in response to an earlier post that suggested that Casey confess, or that her stance of innocence was disingenuous, based on the actions and comments of others around her, like Cindy, and George, and maybe Lee.

My position is that whatever nutty thing Cindy says, or Padilla does, or whether Cindy isn't searching or putting up no trespass signs in front of her house, etc. etc. is a side-show. I never said it shouldn't be discussed. But it has little to do with Casey's ultimate fate. And it shouldn't factor into Casey's decision to either plea or go to trial.

I hope this helps.

My post -- ialy --

Pizmex, you did not correctly state what I said (as it is I you were attempting to refute. Nowhere in there did I suggest that she confess. If you look at post 35 in this thread -- I went through this as when you rebutted my point, you did not pull my post in whole, only a part of it, taking it out of reference...even more so when you consider my original post was in response to someone else so the topic was far off from where you then tried to take it or make it appear. My post 35 also goes on with what indeed are some of the merits of the case...which are many.

Yes, after she was all processed, she's been completely isolated.

I think it's possible they didn't have her totally isolated that first night when they were getting her 'checked in' to her new home.

I think someone posted earlier in the thread. Let me run & look for you.

Gets confusing because the smell stuff is on the pages you cited above, but the list of car contents is elsewhere in the docs.

Hold pls...

Can't find - check in last 3-4 pages of GD #157 - sure someone post the specific pages.

Okay I remember reading that Cindy got Amy's phone number from her resume..where did she find this resume??

seriously, why do parents need lawyers here? I wouldn't get a lawyer if my kid was in legal trouble but I would kick my kids a$$ all the way to the curb should they not accept responsibility for their clear provable actions.

Really?!?!?!?!?!:eek::eek::eek: OMG!!!!!! Are you sure?

Doesn't that seem odd to you? Baez will have to treat prosecution witnesses (we think) that are actually his clients? Wonder how THAT'S gonna fly with the court! Everyone will be able to claim ineffective counsel when it goes to appeal,

I know someone is going to ask for a link, and this will be difficult because this happened in a raw interview with the media while Cindy and George were waiting to see Casey at the jail.

Everyone has to trust me on this because I posted the link often and this has to go back to the week after Casey's arrest.
