Sorry, no. I don't believe any DNA tests are back, that have been released officially. There was info from a "source close to the investigation" that claimed some DNA was back, but nothing from LE.

Yeah, there was a bunch of dead rhododendron stuffed in the trunk. Tastes like chicken!

Good morning sunshine
Their very heavy into canine training as well, such an amazing science art. Their testing will provide prosecution with a few good variables I do trust. Don't run away I get knocked off line a bit. Not always gone just lost in the midnight hour.
It IS an amazing art! The dogs trained are so accurate. The entire process is so accurate no matter how morbid it was thought at first.

I have a theory that if something happened that the people here who say they did not believe these dogs...would have loved ones that were lost and the dogs led them to their bodies because of such a place...they would be so grateful. I would be. It IS the reason they do what they do and why people who understand it will stand behind the forensics.

LE confirmed last night that decomp was in the trunk. No ifs ands or buts.

True.

But the end product of putrefaction in all animals is putrescine and cadavarine. These are the compounds that are measured in the air test. They are the result of breakdown of certain amino acids.

Isabelle,
Ray'sMom

Yes, and smell and taste are closely related. Since they are all different before putrefaction, there should be measurable differences afterwards.

Fascinating that you studied with Dr. Bass. Am curious as to comparative studies related to decomposition, such as dog vs human, ape vs human, related to the air samples. Did any of this get covered while you studied with him? Ex. Bio major and had no clue this type of research existed.
Thanks.

My theory is, Caylee was only in the trunk of the car for a short period of time. Perhaps after what happened to her, and placed in the trunk, or when Caylee was moved from place to place. I am thinking just a few hours, not days, or weeks.

Agree with that PattyG, and HUGE thanks for the You Tube links!

I have an inkling that the shovel may have been to uncover...but mostly used as something to "move" or distance Casey from Caylee...

Also, posted this about the shovel wayyyy back on a thread that closed pretty fast, I am SLOW! The bamboo story would only work if the shovel were pointed, not flat...I would love to know which it was....and if the shoots grew in the actual lawn...I doubt you would use a flat shovel to dig them and ruin the grass...

I guess a trunk full of house plants will be Cindy's next theory.

I think the MOST damning dna evidence will come from the FBI labs.

I'm sure LE had preliminary dna results back within a week or two & might still be waiting for the extensive test results.

I wonder if FL & the FBI both ran their own tests so they can compare results?

Oh........well........that explains it........my friend lives not far from there and had hoped it related to Caylee case.

I wonder what Cindy's credibility would smell like if THAT was tested? lol

The Body Farm trains the FBI forensic experts. LOL

Does anyone know where 417 crosses a Weatherly (don't know if this is exactly the right street) and is there a Boggy Creek in that area?

If so, the police were there today with three cars, an unmarked and two CSI vans. The took some bags of something they dug up and had on their gloves. May be nothing......

In Patty's words, "Link please!"

Night, all. Thanks for being so kind on my first time posting. I've never done this before but this case is making me nuts and I had to sign up. :)
