Notice to Investigators Regarding Billing for Mileage
If the circuit ISC allowed for mileage for investigators then the investigator may only bill
for mileage in limited circumstances. As a general rule, investigators are paid hourly
and that hourly fee includes ordinary travel. Investigators are only paid for extraordinary
mileage. Extraordinary mileage includes travel between counties or a trip exceeding 50
miles one way within a county. In instances involving multiple destinations within a
county, the total mileage for the trip must exceed 100 miles. An out-of-county
investigator may not bill for mileage between the investigator’s office and the county of
the case unless there is an order authorizing the retention of an out-of-county
investigator or an order specifically identifying the investigator.

It would have been issued in early 09 for fees paying in 2008. It would correlate with the 4th quarter of their yr.......I doubt their fiscal year is based upon a calendar year. Let me tell you.....I would bet anything that it WAS NOT paid to KC directly or to her family and that is was funneled through a company owned by a spokesperson or in a corporate entity set up specifically for these fees. They may have made arrangements to accept fees on her behalf....or have received rights to the photos to sell. I would bet that KC assigned rights to those photos to a third party and that the third party brokered the deal (think ethics attorney consultation) Unless we can find it in a report from ABC.....it is likely buried so deep in a corporate shell that it would be virtually untraceable for us.

Let's remember the continual mantra.......anonymous benefactor........I hear.........benefactor that allowed her to remain anonymous. This person is likely the same one that has been "donating to her defense".....BUT when HER funds balance drop...the benefactor will as well. JMO

I know what you mean.....look, as much as folks are freaking out about the Indigent status issue.......I have to say....KC is entitled to a defense. Does the State of FL. want or need a "do over"? My thought is "no".

While people may b outraged about the indigent status........this is no different that many other cases. We are privy to this info and because the defense team has launched a formal effort to maximize media exposure in the case.....we are being "directed" to every update and / or "change" in the docket.

Let's remember folks that JB fought vehemently against a gag order. Why would he do so????? Because to allow / contribute to / facilitate a "feeding frenzy" or "silently offer chum for the media waters" will enable him to argue more motions / cite jury pool tainting / and allow a margin for appellate arguments". It's all about options folks.

There are folks that will claim he is making mistakes...opine that he is jeopardizing his reputation and opening up a can of worms. There are those who will label him as inept....state that he is heading down the wrong path....but......IMO and those of my colleagues......it was a plan born very early on. They are not fooled...nor am I.

Bring it on JB......but you aren't as transparent as you would like to "paint" yourself.

I don't think Cindy or George would have given them to Baez. Sold them, themselves, yes . . . but they would have cut Baez out of it for sure. I think Casey did this without their knowledge. They just had to go with it.

..but, that was an INSANELY large backpack that she took to JB's office when she was out------------it had to have contained more than a bottle of water and a pack of gum!

And to think JB wants the judge to believe that if the public found out about the sale of the pictures it would put KC in a bad light when KC could not have sold those pictures on her own. She had help from none other than her attorney. Wonder when JB's wheels started turning about selling those pictures. I guess there would be only one thing worse than going to trial for killing your child and that would be if your attorney took your case for their own personal gain if, in fact, this is what was done. JMO

We noticed that yesterday that the clerk docket changed an hour later to found not indigent. We are stumped, at least I am. No idea at all.

Now I'm confused - what's going on? Orlando Sentinel's story says she IS indigent.

But I have a question. If she is declared indigent, does she still get to keep her 2 - 300 hundred a month snack money or does she have to put it in the defense pot?

Maybe that money is itemized under the GIFT or Charitable Donations column of her Defense Income and Expenses Ledger :banghead:

To Whomever the check was issued...........ahhh the big mystery question. We have KC who as per her affidavit had zero income, JB who states KC paid his almost $90,000 fees thus far and the Anthony's who also claim to have not received these funds, yet they sport their new wares and go on a cruise while their home is in foreclosure. Hummmm......:waitasec: The date of the payment is as pertinent as much as the who. IMHO

You know I am with you on that. What I meant is that in my mind it is settled, they did sell the photos/videos and as repulsive as that is, apparently the judge didn't have a grave concern over it legally. I do not think morality is in Casey's dictionary and although I first imagined her as a bad seed...over the course of this year and a half I have come to the understanding that is largely because of how she was raised. Mom and Pop have no problem profiting off of the baby's images either. One's ethics are at their core, and I have searched high and low to see the good in them and let me tell you ...the search active.
Shame on them all. I am still holding out hope that Lee has not sold anything. I am hoping to see him on the prosecutor's ( Caylee's ) side at the trial. His absence speaks more to me than all that mom, pop, Casey and Baez have pretended all along, combined. It is public. It is overt and it says I am not with you. ( imo)
