Geez, Zenaida went to UF??? get out of here! and all she could do was babysit a couple of kids and be a seasonal employee at universal. WOW!!!

remeber zg has been babysitting jeff's kid zach for over 4 yrs now....plus caylee plus in the interview kc says other kids....

and

"oh jeff yea i told him at work about caylee--oh ya he left unv stud 10 months ago--oh u mean 2002....yes 6 yrs 10 months same thing- i still told jeff when i was at work that my kid was kidnapped no i did not tell the police but i did file an incident report at work with the park police cause someone stole my phone off my desk at work but no i did not tell them about my kid....."

this is a prosecutors dream ---

she will be in prison for the rest of her life after the trial
that is, unless she doesnt get the death penalty

I hope she goes up against the prosecutor who was at the bond hearing...she appeared to be one who won't back down under any circumstances!

She doesn't seem to understand the seriousness of the situation. She doesn't get how significant it is that Caylee has been missing and she didn't report it and at this point she didn't seem to realize how much trouble she was in. It doesn't sound like she expected to be a suspect! That's my take on it.

I got chills listening because I finally realized what they have been saying about no attachment. She wasn't attached to the baby, it's not that important that she's lost. She can't understand that anyone besides her mother will be upset or wonder where she is. I am just floored listening to these tapes. She really did think she was going to just tell them her story, go home and that would be the end of it. Is this a bad dream? Can someone wake me up???

Hi lawgirl...
I think what she was actually doing was throwing her OWN self under the bus. What she was saying, or at least the way that I take it, is if it was her mom (Cindy) on the phone, then Caylee WOULD have cried FOR her, because that was her primary caregiver, and she would ALWAYS cry for Grammy but NEVER for her (Casey)...to me she just admitted that Caylee loves Cindy more than she loves Casey...

I agree. I think she also tripped up a bit when she told about the call from Caylee in the first place. Something about shoes and the book- all casual. Then LE picks up on how unlikely that would be for a child having not seen ANYONE in her family for so long and CAYLEE isn't upset--so then the next time she tells it-she picks it up w/- I know its crazy that she wouldn't be upset etc. She hadn't thought that part of the story through IMO.

I think she got trapped into saying she got a call that day. She prob. told her mom that - just to get her to calm down- don't worry- I heard from her today- she's fine!

OH and don't attack if this has already been discussed -

Could maybe ZG = Cindy? "Jeff and Juliet" = Lee & his girlfriend?

ie CA was the last person to see Caylee, and Casey told Lee and his girlfriend what happened to Caylee.

From the sound of the frantic 911 calls, I highly doubt Cindy has anything to do with Caylee's disapperence. If so, she should be nominated for an Oscar.....

There is no ZG...Casey is the ONLY one who knows what she did with Caylee.

Could it be they celebrated Father's Day
with the great grandfather on June 9th? ie video

And with George on June 15th? ie family argument

The documents show Caylee was seen there with her Grandma to visit her great-grandfather. The nursing home verified this visit to have occurred on the 15th..

hearing her tone of voice when they are talking about the last phone call- when she claims she talked to Caylee- about the book,
#1 she doesnt get emotional; nor does her voice crack
#2 clearly she is Throwing her mother Cindy under the bus! Deverting attention about HER relationship with Caylee to present to LE that Caylee supposedly becomes upset when she speaks to Cindy???

I cannot wait for a Jury to hear this tape!!! Well wonder what JB reaction is to this tape being released?? LMAO, I can hear him spinning now.

I don't think she was throwing her mother under the bus by making this comment, I think she was implying that Caylee would not miss HER and be upset, but would be upset to speak to Cindy as Caylee was more attached to Cindy.

Dudes....42 pages!??!!!! Me thinks we need a new thread....anyone else?

Seems to me, at first they rarely gave her a chance to respond other than "Uh-Huh", but I believe they have there strategy on how to question someone. They do need to show her that they are in charge of the conversation. I have a lot of respect for detectives!

One thing that sort of got on my nerves was the constant expression by the detectives "Okay" interjected into their sentences. I think it was the sergeant that said it the most. But that may be something they do on purpose so that the POI is put at ease.

I just wonder how the silent treatment would have worked on her? Probably wouldn't work any better. I think they did a good job, though. Just a lot of "Okays" by them and a lot of "Uh-Huhs" by her.

I think this was the first time that Casey actually had her lies "put on the table", and she didn't know how to handle that. Must have been a wake-up call for her!!

Remember, Rick said Cindy stopped seeing the rest of the family after his wedding, because the family would not accept KCs denial of her pregnancy. Even though the family was right, Cindy created a lasting fissure.

For some reason, I think CA is enabling that lying. The parental strategy seems to be to go along with whatever she says.

Being called a liar to her face may have been a bit of a shock.

I just got home and started listening to the tapes...this is a prosecutors dream evidence. Juries are going to eat this up and Casey is going to seem like a MONSTER no matter what their defense is.

"Even assume Casey's blatent lies are true... If your baby was missing for 31 days, would you calmly recollect your co-workers names? Would you go to bars "looking" for a nanny? Or would you be hysterical, BEGGING LE to help you? Would you have called everyone you knew asking for help? ... If your DOG went missing, wouldn't you call everyone in the neighborhood to help you look for her?"

What juror is not going to hate her?

I hope the jury is stacked with family people.

They are talking about change of venue. Good luck finding an area that is not conversant re: this case!

That was my understanding as well.

These tapes make me so sad..
You can tell she is forgetting the lies she told..
She admits she is not in a safe place..
Seems to me when asking about ZG she can speak clearly, yet can't when they ask about Caylee..
Sad, just so Sad..

I'm hoping someone can answer this question, it's been bothering me all night.

Was Casey arrested before or after these interviews?

When was she read her rights?

Miranda rights are a big deal and if she wasn't under arrest while she was showing them around Universal, something tells me she wasn't read her rights.

If she wasn't, I'm not so sure these tapes will be heard in a court room. There is usually a time stamp written on the miranda card. JB will question when he tries to surpress it, if it was signed after the interview, then he has a good shot at having that motion granted.

Does anyone know the exact rules on this in florida?

I am quite sure that KC told La, after the 911 calls. I am equally sure that LA told CA. I think GA might at least partially really be in denial.

I agree, I legitimately do not think that they really believed Caylee was really "missing" for at least the beginning few days.. When it sunk in that the pieces were beginning to fall together in a negative way, and she was "willing" to stay in the clink and not talk, they started backfilling the story.
The question I keep coming back to is WHY?

I can only think of one thing, what is she going to say when she is prosecuted that is worse than what we already know?

I've always wondered if the Anthonys aren't trying to play Casey. If they are, it's not working; it's making people hate them. It's making them crazy, but I've always thought maybe that was what they were up to. We know from the 1st phone call home that KC is po'd and doesn't believe their on her side. Some people familiar with this type of case/personality disorder have said that these people won't break under tough conditions, that they may never talk but that force generally doesn't work. Maybe someone told them that they needed to convince her they're "on her Team" to have any chance of finding out what really went down. Like I said, it doesn't seem to be working, but it makes more sense to explain Team Anthony's actions than anything else...unless of course they are possibly actively involved in a cover-up.

Well, no, not if the internal date in the camera was correct....because the film of Caylee at her greatgrandfather's place, with Cindy, was date stamped 6/15/2008, which was Father's Day

Casey was asked if she gave the parents to the father's parents?

Casey repiled she hadn't seen the father's parents since he was about 6 or 7.

Who has she known this long?

Well, I'm working through this thread, so someone may have already suggested this. She knew Ryan P. that long per the 400 page document, but I don't think they were ever romantically involved, but with her, who knows?!?
