I did read the 400+ pages of discovery documents that were released and reading this interview was shocking enough. So far I have only listened to part 1 of the audio and hearing her voice and the tone of her voice (confidence, cockiness) is CHILLING.

I am so very thankful that I don't understand her mindset - it would make me just as sick as she is.

These tapes are very difficult to listen to. Hearing them however, it seems to me that these lies are all rooted in her personal success fantasies -- real "Walter Mitty Syndrome"... And then she's dug herself in - cannot turn back.
Really really hard to listen to.

So my impressions thus far:

First interview, she rehearsed all of the big points and tried her best to handle the details such as the phone numbers, contact info and such.

Second interview, she tried to spin as much as she could. Her whole story from the first interview was found to be garbage so she's trying to spin so while sitting there half listening to the officers' questions, she's spinning more lies in her head to give to them.

Just my take so far.

Isn't it interesting how LE releases little tid-bits regarding how dishonest and so forth Casey is? They want the public to know, I believe, that despite the A's spin masters any body can see what a guilty liar Casey is. IMHO

I think (jmo) that the release of these audio tapes is to quiet the public who is now reduced to getting any further information from the tabloids like Globe (i won't buy this mag...they used to have the most ridicules cover shots....Jesus was an alien who descended from outer space! ) i'm just paraphrasing.

Listen closely to Casey in recording one near the end (after he asks her why she didn't contact the police before):

Very telling that she's not listening to the questions, she's just answering. Also a pretty clear indicator of deception (no shocker there).
