Casey Kasem has passed away ~ Rest in peace, Casey

I may be the only person to not know the answer but did Jean and Casey have any children together? tia

This is so messy and sad and it's like some sick carnival side show attraction being made out of America's
musical legend . Disturbing does not come close.

Yes, they have a daughter, Liberty Jean Kasem, who believes, loves and supports her mother in this travesty

According to Jean's nephew, who is named after Jean's father, they don't have Norwegian decent..he says they have English, German and Native American heritage.
Will get you the link.

Embarrassingly for the statuesque blonde, one of her nephews revealed how his aunt did not have ‘an ounce’ of Norwegian blood in her.

Tommy Thompson, the son of one of Jean’s siblings, said: ‘As far as we know, we are English, German and Native American.
‘We have never ever heard anyone speak of Norway or [speak] Norwegian for that matter in our house. ‘We don't have an ounce of Norwegian blood to our knowledge.’

Nothing IMO is surprising
Especially since Jean filled out and obtained a Death Certificate listing Jerusalem, Israel as their home/place of residence, having lived there for 18years!!!
She also listed the names of Casey Kasem's Mother and Father as UNKNOWN..,.really? she didn't know their names?

Geez what a mess. At least the kids know where his body is currently located. It's pretty clear that Jean just wants a location that is as far away from his kids as possible. I call BS on her claim she's planning to move to Norway soon. I will eat a hat if she does. Even if she did why would she want Casey close to her? She never visited Casey in his facilities while he was ALIVE? what will change now that he's dead?

If Casey is buried in Norway, it will be very important for his loved ones to bear in mind that space is limited in Europe and Norway has the same rules as Germany; After just 20 years, a gravestone will be destroyed and another body placed on top of the old one unless family start paying a monthly fee.

I hate that rule. It's heartbreaking to see old, broken gravestones lying discarded in the corners of cemeteries.

ETA: Just to stress; his grave will be obliterated if that happens. There's be nothing to visit or put flowers on. There will just be a note in a book.

2 separate law firms and now a registered nurse who was hired to care for Casey, while at home, are suing Jean Kasem for non payment of services & wages

Nurse sues Casey Kasem's multimillionaire widow for $10,000 claiming she wasn't paid for looking after star weeks before his death

According to court records Mrs Stromin is suing Jean Kasem for $10,000.
She claims she logged 42.5 hours of work at $75 an hour while caring for Casey at his Beverly Hills mansion.
The work totaled $2,257.50 and she's also claiming $6,742.50 for 'balance of categories'.
Giving her reasons why Jean, 59, owes her the money, she stated: 'Unpaid wages, loss of work, loss of sleep, stress, deceit, physical strain.'

The lawsuit was filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court on August 29 and a trial has been set for November 10.

Why Is Casey Kasem Still Not Buried?

A few days ago, Kerri Kasem reported on her Twitter account that the letter and petition worked. She stated that the Norwegian funeral home refused to bury her father.

This leaves the ultimate burial of Casey Kasem’s body still in limbo. Presently, the body rests in a hospital, to which members of the Kasem family are sending letters and the petition in the hope that Casey will be returned to California.

Jean Kasem has not spoken publicly about the situation. However, her lawyer recently said during a court hearing that Casey had been doing well before Kerri was granted temporary conservatorship, both in Los Angeles and even later in Washington. That, of course, doesn’t explain why Casey — or his remains — have been moved around so many times in the last few months.

Not only is this a sad story, it’s far from over. Jean Kasem has stated that she is going after the trust that Casey had set up for his children.
Kerri Kasem said in the Howard Stern interview that the children don’t know what Casey’s will or trust say, but she suspects that there were changes made to the documents when Casey was very sick. Likely, the battle over Casey Kasem’s body is but a preview of what is to come.

Tracing Casey Kasem’s sad, strange final days

Mark Lepage tracks the gothic tale of a radio icon, the private investigator assigned to follow him, and the widow postponing the DJ’s final rest

From there, says Clarke, Jean loaded her husband into a separate SUV and had him driven from Santa Monica to Las Vegas, a four-hour drive. The PI is not shy about voicing his feelings about that decision. “This woman has access to $80 million and she doesn’t fly him there?” he asks incredulously.
As has been widely reported, Jean would indeed then fly with her husband to Kitsap County in Washington state. Here, Clarke claims an ambulance driver, called to transport Kasem from the airport to a friend’s home, was so concerned about the possibility of elder abuse that he filed a protective-services complaint. An L.A. judge then overruled a May 12 judgment in favour of Jean and granted Kerri immediate medical conservatorship of her father.

Ambulance attendants did take Casey to a hospital in nearby Gig Harbor, where the feuding families could visit him, thanks to separate visitation times mandated by the judge.

Has anyone else seen this letter from the MD at the Berkeley East Convalescence Home?
This is the first time I have seen this letter, it is from the MD in regards to Casey Kasem elder abuse investigation

Almost six months after his death, radio icon Casey Kasem has been laid to rest.
A rep for the legend's daughter Kerri Kasem confirmed to ABC News that he was buried by his wife Jean in Norway last week without consulting his children.
“Jean buried him without telling the kids," Kerri Kasem's rep Danny Deraney told ABC. "She does not have to tell them since she is the conservator over his remains.”

''“This morning my family and I learned that my Dad’s abusive wife Jean Thompson Kasem and their daughter Liberty conned a cemetery in Norway into burying my Dad there.”''
''“Even with ALL the letters, attached below, from my father’s friends and family stating that he wanted to be buried in the UNITED STATES, the country in which he was born and raised, his wishes were, once again, ignored by his unfaithful wife,” Kerri wrote on Facebook.'''

Wow :(

What is in Norway? Do Jean or Casey have any ties there, or did she go this route just to continue to spite his children?

In a letter to officials seeking permission to bury her late husband in Norway, Jean Kasem said she had Norwegian relatives on her mother's side and intended to move there herself. However, one of Jean Kasem's nephews said: "We don't have an ounce of Norwegian blood to our knowledge."
